Online Story Mode

So I bought the premium edition and I started the online mod,and my question is do I have to do the story mode prologue before I start the online mode?

Yes. I myself wanted to do GTAO before the story mode, and the game told me I had to finish the prologue first.

Why waste time on that when there is a simple and effective solution to it by just dropping the save there. No need to play.
