Predictable, did people really think it would be spring 2025? Most r* games have released later in the year, i dont see why vi would be any different

Summer time (based on United States seasons and fiscal year) has been proven to be the worst time to release most Games. As this is generally a time when people are doing other things and spending their money elsewhere.

The better proven widows-of-release periods generally are around Feb-April and Sep-Dec

So really you could just overall say (plenty of data over the years to back up claims) that around May-Aug is probably the worst time to release what is expecting to be a AAA game. As May is the time when people are graduating and getting ready for Summer. Aug is when people are going back to School and such, but it's not long before they start getting breaks in their schedule and taking time to check out new movies and games, especially as the various Holidays come that time of year, to which there are many. Even though Halloween is not a holiday, it is used much in the movie and games industry to capitalize upon and release new stuff. Much of the data is based around Fiscal Data Reports because of how the Revenue Quarters and Tax Season works in United States, where most of these companies are housed, such as Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games, not to mention Platform Services such as PlayStation Network, Xbox Games Studio and Valve (Steam). Sony for example has a Japan division that deals with releasing certain games within periods of the year that they feel are better for Japan's economy and revenue-based fiscal yearly scheduling.

So Take-Two has seemingly suggested Fall 2025 for GTA6, based on updated data from Rockstar. But again that is merely a window of time and is based around a fiscal quarter; which generally translates to Sep - Nov as the window for 2025 release. It appears that most of the people hired to work on the GTA6 project were hired around Jan-Feb 2024 and most of those jobs call for 12 months worth of work. This is based around a time period when the initial stages of the game would get done. Around or after approx Jan-Feb 2025 is when the editing, polishing and revised testing of the game would take place.

Overall I look forward to it and really look forward to the END OF GTA5 Online, as it really should have already been retired years ago to be honest. But if they keep adding stuff and it keeps making money, so be it. But it will have to come to a close eventually if GTA6 Online is to make any money. Otherwise it will just end up being like Red Dead Online.

Just going off of data from Rockstar's most recent game releases:

GTA4:
> April 2008 - Released to Xbox360/PS3
> Dec 2008 - Released to PC

RDR1 (2010):
> March 2010 - Got delayed and then released in USA May 2010
> Oct 2010 - Game released on Oct 2010 for Japan; along with world-wide release of the Undead Nightmare expansion.
> Oct 2011 - RDR1 Game of the Year Edition released including both the RDR1 game along with Undead Nightmare in a 2-Disc Bundle

GTA5:
> Sep 2013 - Released to PS3/Xbox360
> Nov 2013 - GTA Online is deemed ready and playable.
> Dec 2013 - GTA Online sees it's first Snow Update along with Holiday themed clothing, hats, masks; etc.
> Nov 2014 - Released to XboxOne/PS4 along with major updates to GTA Online
> April 2015 - Released to PC along with major new Heists added to GTA Online
> Dec 2021 - GTA Online officially shuts down for PS3/Xbox360
> Mar 2022 - Next Gen Updates release for PS5/Xbox Series X|S
> Feb 2024 - Rockstar cuts Rockstar Editor from last-gen-consoles (PS4/XboxOne) and will slowly but surely bringing GTA Online to a complete close on these consoles very soon as these consoles have reached EOL from their makers and are not beefy enough to handle the GTA Next-Gen Updates.

GTA5 didn't become just the best-selling video game ever, but the biggest launch in entertainment history, selling more than eleven million copies in its first day and twenty-nine million six weeks after launch!

RDR2:
> Oct 2018 - Released to PS4/XboxOne
> Nov 2019 - Released to PC (Dec 2019 for Steam)
> Oct 2020 - Red Dead Online sees first major update and season pass
> Dec 2020 - Red Dead Online released as a stand-alone game.

Overall... don't be surprised if the release for GTA6 is Nov 2025
GTA5 coming to PC took alot of work; however that was not true when it came to RDR2. So if we see a delay period for the PC release of GTA6, I doubt it would be very long.

Grand Theft Auto VI PS5, Xbox Series X|S Fall of Calendar 2025. The info is right there. If you took literally less than a minute to search the page, you would have seen it in only a matter of seconds - and I'm the legally blind one.

Even if they didn't feel like skimming with eyes; a simple CTRL+F > AUTO VI would find the info quick AF
