Question about Natural vision evolved
I don't know if this is the right place to ask this so please direct me to the better place if there is.
So basically the vanilla game have poorly optimized dust particles which cause my fps to tank even on lowest graphics settings with a 3090. For instance, if I shoot with a minigun on a beach, my fps goes from 100+ to somewhere in the 40s and the gpu usage maxes out. I knew this isn't due to the game being graphically intensive as it is 11 years old now and even lowering down all the graphics settings didn't make any difference. So I went on to install a graphics mod as it would have better optimized dust effects and I was right. The dust particles in the mod did not drop my fps.
Now the problem is that I don't know which exact files in the game have those dust effects. I only want to keep the dust effects from the mod as a solution to the fps drop in the vanilla game. So can anyone help me out please?

Long time ago I got that mod myself, but only used it a tiny bit. I do recall there being some tweaks you could make, and I wonder if disabling most of the effects except whatever few you want to keep may be possible. However, I just can't really say with certainty and the ideal place to check would be a forum that discusses Natural Vision specifically, or possibly here:

I dont think the vanilla game should do that, i do not have those results and run the graphics settings maxed out.

Just dont let the game go over 122 FPS or the engine fouls up, it cant handle FPS beyond that and goes to crap
