I don't mind saving up the cash to buy the next GTA game, or at least the next GTA Online, but if I don't feel that the game will be enjoyable, then I won't do it. Right now, I'm just not feeling very confident about the next GTA Online, and for me that's worrisome, because I love playing GTA Online and was looking forward to the next one.
Hahaha...
I think i maybe sold 2 once, when i was just trying to get rid of them and didn't care about the profit.
Just sell one every 18 hours and you're fine.
Literally of all the issues in the game, bugs and all, they prioritize things that can be used to make money in game.
Not even prioritize, they tunnelvision on it. Nothing else matters. Bugs have been in the game for years but if one money glitch or exploit is discovered, it's patched within a month give or take.
Premium currency? Battle passes? Removing content to promote fomo? The red flags are all there. They've been dipping their toes in it for a while to test the communities reaction and how best to keep implementing it juuuuust enough to where people will shrug it off and buy it.
The story mode is still out for grabs on if it'll be good or not. Rdr2 showed that at least rockstar cares somewhat about making a good singleplayer even if they massively prioritize online. But with the rumors of gta6 taking out the satire on modern culture that makes gta...well... gta, idk how well it'll work. Maybe it will, maybe it won't. We'll have to wait and see.
But sadly, I think the online will go one of two ways
It'll be a buggy, greed fueled disaster that'll end in a flop which is unlikely for a game this anticipated, or the more likely option, it'll be a buggy greed fueled disaster that people will still play out of Stockholm syndrome and a desperate desire to love the game they have wanted for so long, only said love won't be reciprocated back. Kinda like overwatch but on a larger more pre-established scale
Then there's how they treated the mod community in past which is a whole other can of worms. Then years later they buy up FiveM. When mods are good for them it's OK, but if it's good for us it's not OK. XD
Literally
Pretty sure I heard the people who made the gta definitive trilogy were only known for mobile games
Still haven't released e&e on pc. Something tells me gta 6 won't even be on pc till like 2030
And they cut support for red dead online cause gold wasn't making money. Also they heavily nerfed ways to make gold in that game. They'll still make dlcs for gta 5 tho since that's their moneymaker. Even when they still advertise rdo as an "ever evolving" game. But that's a whole other can of worms... but man, I'm still sad about all the ruined potential of that game.
Now this didn't bother me as much I have two chars, pimped out, my issue was its borderline unplayable online, its more like solo/friend fun now because every lobby 80%, and i'm being generous here, is someone breaking the lobby, mod menu trolling. Playing gta 5 on PC is not worth it, at all. SP sure, not online.
