Rockstar Games Launcher freezing on startup

title. cant get into the game at all as the launcher freezes after 5 seconds and does nothing.

tried reinstalling the game, wiped everything rockstar related off the pc and reinstalled launcher, problem persists. probably should not be said but its absolute bull**** that rockstar forces this malware onto us and then it even f****s up the pc when you just try to play a game.

And then there is vcredist issues, directx issues, N/KN windows/media feature pack issues, lack of admin/permission issues, antivirus/security issues, controlled folder access blocking .exe's, onedrive issues (turn on/off if using - or just configure NOT to do anything with my docs / rockstar games), os/settings/config issues. Then we get into problems with my docs / rockstar games (rename -old), connectivity problems of all sorts (some you have to wait out), and another batch of stuff.

Regardless, yes - many users have problems with the launcher - and many don't.
