So, I presume that it's just an idiot reason you are giving, without any reflexion behind.
Or it is just a joke you are trying to do.
Public sessions are not required anymore since July 26th 2022.

You can do everything in an invite-only/crew session.
(Note that certain free roam events like Business Battles require a minimum of 3 players to trigger.)
Well after 9 yrs, I signed in this morning. And I was not able to register as CEO in a private nor invite only. R* servers kept kicking me back to public. So I thought I'd ask. Because when you don't know, you ask. At least that was the way it was for my generation. Never assume. Ask.
But thank you for the article. I'll try again to see what I might have had wrong with settings.
Again, Thank you.
P.S. specially for not being rude about it like some. appreciate it.
we've been able to register as CEO in invite only sessions for many years
I remember hosting the Doomsday heist as a CEO back in 2018
it can sometimes be delayed through other scripts
especially if you return after a long time of not playing while getting bombarded with all the annoying message informing about new activities
That's odd that it would keep kicking you back to public lobbies.. Usually the option would just be greyed out and say that you needed to join a public lobby (if you actually had to, which you should not have to).
I might suspect a modder caught you and kept pulling you back to their lobby.. but IDK.. it might seem like a stretch, but what they can do seems to be new/change every day.. but one thing that is known is once a modder's crap gets in your system's memory, it stays there till you go to Story mode or exit the game to flush it out. The only thing I can recommend is load into story mode and enter online via pause menu by going into an invite only or closed friend/crew session.
Finally, I don't mean to sound rude, but one reason you wouldn't be able to register as a CEO would be if you don't have an office purchased. If you haven't signed on in 9 years, and still can't register after everything said on this thread, I might recommend double checking Dynasty Executive's website to see if you own an office already.. again, might be a stretch, but maybe something happened to your original office from all them years ago.. if you're even on the same platform, account & game key still..
Edit: On a tangent to my last paragraph, are you actually able to register as CEO in a public session? If you can, what happens if you register in a public session and then use the pause menu (Online tab) to go to a new private session (Invite, closed friend/crew)? Does it remove your CEO status or does it keep your Organization active still?
I have the low end CEO Office there is. In a very public lobby, Yes I can register as CEO. When I have 'attempted' what you suggest. I have no option that I can click to go to a closed/ invite only lobby.
When I go to a Closed/ Invite lobby, and try to register as CEO, it kicks me back to an open public lobby every time. The only way I have managed to get around this issue, is the resource manager trick.
It's clear that R* doesn't like me for some reason. I'v never been banned, Never had any reports on me. Because I play alone. I don't deal with others in GTA5. Obvious reasons. I honestly don't understand what or why this is happening.
Yes, I had heard years back that R* changed it. For obvious reasons. But I was avoiding R* for a while. I simply thought maybe since it had been years, I'd give the CEO thing a go. Bought the CEO Office, Bought the Bunker, Bought the Biker Clubhouse, Bought the Club. Bought a lot of other things too. But the only way I seem to be able to actually register as a CEO, is in an open public lobby. Then do the trick so I play alone.
Not sure what else I can do.
i also hope they can do private or public SAMP style servers, for people to actually live and role play across specific worlds/regions cops/robbers, jobs, with all the mini games. And just lock all the clothes skins and styles behind micro transactions and not the actual game itself.
I made a comment about GTAV being 2nd worst. nothing beats the jobs and role play from san andreas/samp, vice city was just amazing for the time. 1 and 2 top down mess around style was so much fun on console or pc back in the day.
Now from several people that i have played with over the years know one can relate to the story of #5 and online was alright if your a shooter style player from SAMP days, but ive met 1000's as an admin/mod of those servers and maybe 5-10% of the actual dedicated population were shooters, everyone else was jobbers and it was quite a social place with 150-190 people on across 3 servers for 12-18 hours every day. people were dropping 5 bucks a month on premium status membership to hide on map. another 2.50 for a 30 day housing rental in a specific area on the map. 10-15 bucks per car. and the car disappeared if you didn't own the house. turf wars, public business battles. people gunning over properties in general. internal server group conflicts that would turn into mass fights in the streets. it would go from calm to anarchy it was amazing.
