Unauthorized Access to GTA Account
Dear Steam Support,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to you today regarding a critical issue I am facing with my Grand Theft Auto (GTA) account, which is linked to my Steam profile.

Regrettably, I have recently become aware that my GTA account has fallen victim to unauthorized access by an unknown party. This unauthorized access has resulted in the perpetrator changing both the email address and password associated with my Rockstar Games account, effectively locking me out of my own account.

As a dedicated user of Steam and GTA, this incident has not only compromised my account's security but has also disrupted my ability to access and enjoy the game content that I have invested significant time and resources into.

Given the severity of this breach, I urgently request your assistance in unlinking my compromised GTA account from my Steam profile. It is imperative that immediate action is taken to prevent further unauthorized access and protect my gaming assets from any potential harm or misuse.

Furthermore, I am in the process of attempting to regain access to my Rockstar Games account by following their account recovery procedures. However, due to the complexity of the situation, I anticipate that this process may take some time to resolve.

In the meantime, I would like to unlink my compromised GTA account from my Steam profile to prevent any further damage and restore the security of my gaming experience. I am fully committed to implementing all necessary security measures to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

I am prepared to provide any additional information or documentation required to verify my identity and facilitate the resolution process expediently. Your urgent attention to this matter is greatly appreciated, and I sincerely hope for a swift resolution to this unfortunate situation.

Thank you for your understanding and support in this matter. I eagerly await your prompt response and assistance in restoring the integrity of my gaming experience.

Best regards,

Nathan

In the off chance that this is for real and "urgent" as you mention in your post, you'd be better off actually contacting Steam support lol. You wont get help on here.

You have compromised your details at one point. Secure your account here.

Also steam can't help you, you need to recover your rockstar account.

Also the link between your banned account and steam is permanent and can't be unlinked, especially with a account that has been banned.

It sounds like your old social club account had the email changed for one reason or another. This has been happening to many people since June last year. You already verified this by 'creating' a new account using your old email address.

You 'should have' gotten an email from R* - notifying you that the email on the old social club account changed. It may have been in another language, filtered/spam, etc. In this email is a link that will let you recover your old social club account - if the link has not expired. HOWEVER, since you already used your 'old email' on a NEW account - you need to change THAT email ON the new account to something else so that it can be used/recovered to the old account. R*/social club only allows 1 email to be used on 1 account at a time.

If you don't have the email to recover, or the link to recover the old account has expired --- there is nothing else you can do but contact R*. Some users have had better luck contacting them through the english language (yes, that is annoying - just mentioning it due to post language). You have the steamid, the cd key, the steam purchase history - possibly even steam email receipts to all help show proof of ownership.

You can't just delete/unlink the old social club account - the steam gta5 cd key is a single use, non-transferable key - it will stay with the unlinked/deleted account meaning a rebuy of the game. Then you get into steam account, key allocation, and other hoops necessary to get a 'new' copy to run on your current steam account.

And the copypasta -
Fun times. Join the neverending flood of this nonsense. Much info - click and read -

tl;dr/lazy - use this link below to contact R* without logging in to RECOVER your account/fix/change email to one you have access to. Yep, many hoops to jump to prove you are the owner, have the steam account, cdkey etc, and days to wait/repeat yourself -

/goodluck - some people fix it super fast, others have to try multiple times.

edit - There is also an 'email not found or password is invalid' error (and your credentials DO work on the social club website AND you see your character, game time, games owned, and the steam account is linked in linked accounts tab). 'Usually' has to deal with controlled folder access blocking r* launcher / socialclub / gta5 - or date/time isn't properly sync'd. Then you get old versions of those, other av/sec, permissions, admin/lack of, connection/dns/network configs, and on it goes.

Contact R* support and recover your acc, it's that simple. Game activation is one time only, if you unlink (to do which you would still need to prove ownership to R), you will lose ability to play this copy of a game.
