Best race car in story?

Title. I'm playing story and am wondering what's the best car in the game for racing. I know Franklin's ability allows any car to be op, but still, I'd like to know! Also does modifying a car do anything or is it all cosmetic?

My vote would go to the Osiris. AWD, fast, has decent grip and minimal slide.

Wing provides slightly more grip, but not what I'd say is a difference maker. Armoring helps the car, don't ask me how but my guess is that it makes the body more rigid, and I believe that the rest is or mostly is cosmetic.

NPSs are so week in story mode races .
Best cars for me , and you can pick em up from street are :
Zentorno for driving around map
Coil Voltic - easy beat every race
Sultan - for heists
Upgrades are not only cosmetic .
