Can't play the game because I deleted my old Rockstar account
Straight up can't launch the game because of Rockstar's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ launcher. I deleted my old social club and created a new one with the same credentials and now when I try to launch the game it spits out "Rockstar activation code already in use." How is it I can't play a game I bought, are we serious right now?

Both Steam support and Rockstar support are useless. Posting here to see if anyone's had similar issues, otherwise this is just another salty post.

Yep. You can't do that. The account deletion page even tells you what will happen. Fairly sure R* did too when you asked to do this. The cd key is a single use, non-transferable cd key. 1 social club account. Don't agree either, but.. them their rules.

https://support.rockstargames.com/articles/200146056/How-to-Request-Rockstar-Games-Account-Deletion
"Activation keys and DLC codes will remain linked to the deleted account and will not be usable on any other Social Club account."

Of course, it says requests may take up to.. 30 days to complete. You could try to contact R* and tell them you've changed your mind and to not delete the account. Then, you'll have your old account to continue playing on (if it isn't banned -.-;;). Or, the fact you 'used' old credentials means it is already gone.. or.. something really common is people losing their old accounts, and making 'new'. Can recover vs start over.

If you deleted because you can't even log into your old account / lost your email, password, got hacked, etc (how'd you request to delete it then?) ---- then you just recover the account. Magic.

Same idea for those that 'unlinked' their old account - you might be able to contact R*, and very nicely tell them you made a mistake, and ask them to re-link your old social club account

If R* won't 'help' - all that is left is a repurchase (or don't play/play something else, boycott, etc), and the hoops associated with that, and whichever method you will be using (new steam/sc, new game 'key', email tag to use old steam account, etc).

/goodluck regardless

So, you wanted to delete it.
The program itself told you what would happen. With a big WARNING.
And you did it.
And now, it is the fault of Rockstar.

People nowadays are amazing.
Really amazing.

With the Salt deleted apparently.

You cant delete the account, and then ask to use it again.
Like already mentioned, they give you a big ass warning stating if you do this, you're done
no more game, you'd have to repurchase it.
