My main point is it is not quite completely dead yet. It is consumer side, But I deal with a lot of servers and such and most windows servers run 7 or 2012 still. Very simple
Install OS (Clean install ALWAYS ALWAYS do clean installs, dont be lazy)
after you get signed into to OS after install, go to activate windows
it asks for a COA
Input your win 7 COA
Windows is now activated
No hacks no magic

bruh i love old tech and backwards compatibility and all that, but idk how tf you even managed to get gta v running on win7 LMAO for security sake, its time for an upgrade. there's cheap gaming laptops out there now. as far as ps3 id try to get your hands on a physical disc to keep story mode.

barely. there are many features taht will not work at all and some are quite intermittent. and steam will not help you when you submit a request fora broken feature. my win 7 labtop crashs the steam api a lot.... for zero reason while idle...

Rockstar like any other company will most likely stay on the most up-to-date version of Windows for as long as they possibly can. The only thing that would make them even think of reverting would be if something catastrophic happened to Windows 10 which is unlikely. If you want to go back to a version that isn't supported mind you, that's your choice. But be advised, Windows 7 is much more likely to get hacked now that it's no longer supported. I wouldn't recommend this.
