OP, why are you using Windows 7? It stopped getting support in 2020. No more security patches and updates. You know how dangerous it is to be running Windows 7 without updates? Why don't you see people running Windows Vista on the internet? Because someone can hack you real easy. At least I run Windows 10, which is still getting updates. And do you know why most games are recommending Windows 11? It's because the newer PCs have problems running Windows 10. On Intel, P cores and E cores are not being utilized, which then turns into problems gaming. I see the writing on the wall to switch to WIndows 11, which I will do when I build my new PC in the coming months. You do you OP, but don't be complaining that you got hacked.

Just because there is no support for Windows 7 does not mean you cannot support it yourself. They drop it because Microsoft no longer makes updates for it, but if you know how to fix Windows problems, then you can absolutely support it yourself.

Windows 7, like WIndows XP, like WIndows ME, like Windows 98, like Windows 95, like Windows 3.11 are all Dead End of Life operating systems.

Windows 7 is dead, it has been cremated and interred.
New hardware does not even have windows 7 drivers.
No more MS updates, no more features, no more new programs.
You are soon approaching the point where you wont even be able to web browse with it.
