help why is gta v running and i cant close it down or do anything with it

Open task manager and kill the process.

Sometimes when you close the game the Social Club Launcher is still running. Just go to Task Manager and find it. Then end the process.

Yea I had the same problem you just have to find it in the task manager and kill the process

i have the same problem but anytime i try to end the process it says access denied even if i am in administrator

how is "restart your pc" even an answer? you expect people to restart their pc every time they shut the game down? stop making excuses for rockstar its been almost 10 years with this same game and they cant work out the kinks? ridiculous! i have a good pc with an 8th gen intel and rtx 2060. i shouldn't be having this problem. any time the game crashes and i have to restart or any time i want to quit the game i have to kill the task? by now rockstar should have implemented a task killer with the program if they know this is an issue

'Restart your pc' was a response 5 years ago (and still valid for many issues). On a gtav related note - more recently (and back then too) other programs 'have been interfering'. And then... OS/updates, drivers/versions, vcredists, .net, settings, permissions, av/sec, corruption in any of the listed things, and on and on - all 'functioning' on a 'functioning' pc - all capable of causing issues.
