i just logged in today for the first time in about a week. had an event going on for opening parachute closest to the ground. "ok i got this" jumped, got like 40ft and took first place...exctep it sayd "wailon took first place" what???? looked at my score vs top score..the same...what? so i opened players, my name was missing, so i opened my menues and sure enough, my character is named "wailon" i have no friends, my crew is gone, and im name changed...how?

Your account obviously got hacked, if I were you I'd change my passwords for everything and inform Rockstar as someone could have been using your account as a burner account for modding online.

my password was crazy last time. so no idea how it got found out. but i changed it. also changing passwords for all my other things.

still buggs me i cant change my nickname back...stuck as waliot or walion or whatever they changed it too...the heck...

Is your characters name changed or is your Social Club Username changed?
Either way, I think your account has been compromised, but you can change your characters name by going into the online character selection menu, and pressing the tab key. You can contact rockstar letting them know of your current situation, and what happened. If they say that there's no proof of your account being compromised, mention to them that they should be able to see what IP Address requested the username change and that that it's different than your own, which was present from since the creation of the account.

I would suggest CALLING rockstar instead of their online web support service. It's very slow and more often than not, they just respond to you with copy and pasted responses.
