Cannot sign into my Social Club
A few days ago my Social Club account has been logged into and had its email and password changed leaving me with no access to it, but my steam is still linked to it, I have contacted Rockstar Support multiple times and provided proof that I own the social club account but in the end they always say, "We have investigated, but have been unable to verify that this request is being made from the owner of the Rockstar Games account where the information was recently changed. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause."

R* should have sent you an email telling you about the email change. In that email - is a link to recover your account. This email may be in another language - translate it. Or just look for the yellow characters denoting a link in the body of the text ('recover' in picture below). Click it - undo the email change. Check filtes, spam, trash, etc.

And the copypasta -
Fun times. Join the neverending flood of this nonsense. Much info - click and read -

tl;dr/lazy - use this link below to contact R* without logging in to RECOVER your account/fix/change email to one you have access to. Yep, many hoops to jump to prove you are the owner, have the steam account, cdkey etc, and days to wait/repeat yourself -

When I press on "recover" it asks me to create a new password, when I create the new password an error comes up "Sorry, an unexpected error has occurred! If you continue to see this error, please contact customer support for assistance."

I'd make sure your old email isn't already used on a new social club account.
(granted it usually says the email is already in use) but could just be temporarry issue)

Otherwise, it's back to R* support. You want to recover. Preferably you have the email receipt from steam for your gta5 purchase, etc etc. At least you have a recovery email - so many claim to not have it at all.

edit ---- You are wasting your time attempting to log into gtav. work with the social club website only. If you can log into the website, using your old email -- and you get an account that has no games, no steam linked account, etc - that is the 'wrong account'. That also means - your old email 'is in use' - and it should not be - for you to attempt to use the 'recover' link in the recovery email from R*. Of course, when you 'change that email' - you'll likely get a NEW recovery email from them - and that would be the WRONG one to use. Use the older one.

Past that - 5 times? Either you keep getting the lazy agents, or communication is going sideways somewhere. Ask to escalate - this is an easy thing to do if you have the info.

I am sure that my old email is not on the new social account as when i try to load up GTA V it tells me that a verification code has been sent to : "email i have no access to". And I have contacted rockstar support 5 times providing my steam id64, receipt for GTA 5 and GTA 5 CD key, after providing all that evidence they still say "We have investigated, but have been unable to verify that this request is being made from the owner of the Rockstar Games account where the information was recently changed. Just wanted to tell you that Rockstar finnaly changed the emails on the account, it only took around 6 more seperate times, providing the exact same info they ask for. Nevertheless, I want to thank you for trying to help me.

Dude I'm having this issue, I sent a support ticket in the other day and got no response at all. I'm gonna keep trying, I can't play any rockstar game on steam, I try to play GTA V or Red Dead 2 and it says the email the steam is linked to is completely different from any email I've ever had so someone must have hacked my account and changed my information. ♥♥♥♥ pisses me off, I hope I can get that account back, I have over 1400 hours on GTA V and can't even play it.
Rich Jul 14, 2024 @ 3:17pm
I mean, it has been 7 months since I have reached out to Rockstar and Steam for support and I have also gotten permanently banned from GTA Online (for cheating), so the memories are vague, I must have created 6 more tickets spread across a week and every single time I provide all the evidence that I legitimately own this game, the agent just calls ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and I guess he simply ignores all the proof that I gathered and embedded with the message. It really sucked because of the amount of time I wasted on contacting their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ support, but alas I must have got the one agent that wasn't brain-dead and didn't hate their job because he complied with everything and changed the email to a new one.

Basically what I kept doing was providing all the evidence that I own the game, (steam id64, receipt for GTA 5 and GTA 5 CD key). Hopefully they comply faster than they did to me.
Good Luck.

oh yeah lmao same, I forgot about them days. I cheated on there too so maybe that has something to do with it, idk I've never done it on Red Dead 2 though and I can't play that or GTA 4. I'll keep trying, thanks for the advice bro
