GTA V Launcher Bypass

I bought the game. It's very clearly in my account. It's under an email address.
The launcher has decided I can no longer play the game, because I need to log in.
I haven't logged in for years. I forgot the password.
"No problem," I said to myself. "I'll just get click the forget password button, because I remember that password at least."
My email account was locked for inactivity.

How can I play the game without the completely unnecessary and obtrusive launcher? I just want to play singleplayer, I don't intend to do multiplayer, I've decided I don't like multiplayer. Do I just need to download a version from some shady Russian website, or is there some better way? Either way, it's upsetting I can't play my legal copy that I clearly "rented" under the understanding that I'd get to be able to play it any time, so long as Steam still existed.

The bypass mod is outdated now, but you can downgrade your version to one that still works with the bypass. There's a few tutorials out there on how to do it

Turns out, shady Russian website had my back. They've got one that works with modern(though for some strange reason I can't access my saves with this one. I have no idea where the new save directory is, though it HAS saved somewhere. I'll run a where /r later.)

I blame the internet. Bleh :P
To be fair, that email account was used for a very brief period when I wanted to rebrand myself, before I decided "eh, fagetabutit" and went on to do other things. That email account was inactive for 4 years before I lost the password to my Rockstar social, so that's good.
