steam + rockstar

Hey guys i need your help.
4 years ago i bought Gta V on Rockstar Games and 4 years later i wanted to have it on steam. I have linked my account from Rockstar games and Steam, but when i want to play Gta V on Steam it's not here, even playtime even achievments aren't here.
Can someone help how to add Gta V, playtime and achievments to Steam, if i have Gta V on Rockstar Games?

just buy a new copy on Steam and create a new RSC account

At time of this post - steam says you don't own it. No mouse icon.
You must have actually purchased a steam copy of the game.

If i buy it on Steam, does playtime and achievments transper to Steam from Rockstar Games?

With a steam gta5 purchase - If you connect steam account to the correct social club account that has your R* copy/stats - yes. If your steam account is already connected to a social club account that is NOT the right one... that could be an issue.

Achievements yes, hours played Wil shows 0 on steam.

How did you link this steam account to R*? To my knowledge, this does not happen without a R* game purchase on steam, to make the link. The last time I tried to just go and 'link a steam account' to a social club account - I could not do it.

Regardless - you buy it on steam, you link the steam account to the social club account that has your stats/playtime. They are linked and you can play on steam fine. You'll be able to transfer your progress for online character, etc. The achievements should update. The only thing that may not properly show is 'playtime' because steam is only showing 'playtime on steam'.

So if i understand everything right, if i have my rockstar account linked to steam already but i have gta on rockstar, and i will buy it on steam, willy my achievments and online is save, but playtime is wiped to 0?

Playtime is a visual number that denotes how sad a life you have.
It's ok for it to start at 0 on steam. No one else cares, but you.

And technically, it would be correct as you have 0 hours of steam gta5 played.

/and I was making a joke - you did ask about playtime.. 4 times.

I dont have sad life lol , i dont care about playtime i was just asking if i undertsood everything correctly

The case that Psykoteky is referring to could have happened if you already played one of Rockstar's games on Steam in the past and linked it to a different Social Club account than the one you are now using for GTA V on the Rockstar Games Launcher version.

Steam versions of games like Max Payne 3, Bully, GTA IV or L.A. Noire.
