Am i safe on a closed crew sessions?

Is playing gta online in a closed crew sessions only with crewmates safe? As i heard that some source code leaked and it is not safe to play gta online because of hackers and cheaters.

The source code leak rumors are just rumors.
If you are in an Invite Only session, you'll be fine. If you are that concerned, use a VPN.

Whether or not people with menus can still join invite/crew/friend sessions I don’t know. If they can, one has to target you. So don’t ruffle feathers if you’re in public activities like drifting/series/etc

I’ve played exclusively on friends only session and been fine.

Can a modder/hacker come after you in an invite only session, a private solo lobby, story mode?

Yes, but you would most likely have had to attract the ire of said modder for them to go through the effort.

What they can do?
Not sure, beside all of the already known annoying things.

Now you can firewall the game, either manually, or using the app Guardian, and then no modder/hacker can come after you in any way shape or form, can't crash you, cant screw with your character, cant crash your game, cant get you banned by suddenly making you level 3000 with 700 million dollars etc.

No one can play with you whose IP you have not explicitly whitelisted.

You are not safe from an angry modder. Like someone said here, if you don't get people angry or taunt them in public lobbies, you are fine. THe best thing to do is limit your exposure in public lobbies. The source leaks are real but they were leaked last year. That means if you were playing since last year, you have been playing with leaked source modders. If you've been through being exploded, having your stats altered, and getting annoyed... you have dealt with most of the pain.

I was stalked by someone and it made me want to quit gta because this little kid had a power ego trip because they had a mod menu. They wanted to make my life bad and I didn't do anything to them. I just logged in and changed characters. If you want solo protection, get guardian or a vpn. Right now, the worse people can do is dos your internet and you can just call your isp to get a new ip address. Remember.... your ip address isn't your real life location. And if they wanted to follow you, they would have to hack your phones, email, and go through many people. They have to be pretty obsessed with you to go this far. As for stalking, you can use guardian.

Remember.... limit your exposure in a public lobby as it is filled with cheaters. If you are minding your own business in a private lobby, you'll be off the radar from people who are mentally abused and bullied.
