Launch Game then Instantly Crash

[Who Cheats]

I go to start up the game, I hear the sound of the glass breaking and the screen is black, then The game crashes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Verified the integrity of the game files, and tried multiple different things I seen online. Graphics card is updated.

try renaming the Rockstar Games folder in your Documents folder, if it makes no difference just restore the the original name

What do you mean by restore the original game, I am running no mods. fresh install renaming the folder doesnt do anything

when you change the Rockstar Games folder name a new Rockstar Games folder will be created by the game when you launch the game, if this doesn't fix the crash issue you can just delete the new folder that was created and change the renamed folder back to the proper name

I haven’t played in awhile and same thing happen to me. I started closing things and turns out it was MSI AfterBurner.

I figured mine out, it was keeping files installed still so I deleted all gta and rockstar files
and it worked

How? mine's still crashing

go to documents>rockstar games delete everything, Before you delete GTA go to browse local files, then uninstall gta and then drag and drop the folder in the trash bin and delete the trash then i just reinstalled gta. I think it saved the files from way back when I would play lspdfr

Or just open the gtav game folder - show file extensions. Then delete anything that is NOT a folder AND is NOT a .rpf file. If there is a 'lspdfr', 'mods', 'scripts', 'plugins' folder - delete them too. Verify game files and skip a complete redownload. Technically, this should only be useful if you used mods, or put in non-vanilla files, and didn't completely remove them (as uninstalling the game - does not do this). For those that need pictures -

Crashing at sirens, and crashing after getting in game can be very, very different causes.
