SOURCE CODE LEAKED. GTA Online on PC is going to be unplayable in the next few weeks. Do not play GTA Online until Rockstar do something about it, you will regret it.

A source code leak means anyone can modify the game however he wants, you can get killed, kicked or even banned instantly if the cheater wants. Now it's actually real, the game is in serious danger and might even be closed if Rockstar Games don't deal with it.

It was a kid from a discord server who worked for ozark cheats, he got access to the source code due to GTA 6 leaks. Someone ended up selling the source code for him and he leaked it today. Please consider being extra careful this is not your daily cheater issue.

I will update this post with new information if something comes up.

Quick test for a brain workout for some of you who think this leak is the same as last year.

What cheaters will do now that they got the entire source code?

A. Ruin the game and say sorry.
B. Grab your IP for fun and tell you they know your location.
C. Ban you because they just can now.

What will you do if a cheater bans you?

A. Contact Rockstar and tell them you got banned for no reason and expect them to believe you.
B. Uninstall the game and never touch it again.
C. Try to find a way to unban yourself because now you can since the source code was leaked.

What will you do after you unban yourself?

A. Join GTA Online and ban other players, because you can.
B. Join GTA Online and fight other cheaters.
C. Join GTA Online and log off because it's completely ruined now.

💯 I agree. This is just plain old scare tactic. Rockstar hasn't said anything either. You think they're going to allow some basement dweller ruin their gold mine? Yeah right! That's not how FiveM works.
FiveM works off the reverse-engineering of GTAV via independent hobbiests trying to take advantage of a product that they have bought a thus a right to modify, not based off of stolen source code.
If FiveM was, however, to be based off and used stolen or unauthorized source code- R* would have legal grounds to canned the project via legal means years ago.

That's not how FiveM works.
FiveM works off the reverse-engineering of GTAV via independent hobbiests trying to take advantage of a product that they have bought a thus a right to modify, not based off of stolen source code.
If FiveM was, however, to be based off and used stolen or unauthorized source code- R* would have legal grounds to canned the project via legal means years ago.
