And you always had to login at some point.
The only thing they changed during the last years was the original Rock Star social club to rockstar games launcher
Maybe you mixed that up.
BTW: R* games launcher isn't a third party app, but steam is (OR EPIC) ;-)
Seems like a modder trying to skip the launcher so his mod will work again. He seems passive agressive, besides very stubborn, and all modders are. Theres no other reason being this angry about a launcher.
No, you are wrong
RSGC is a 1st party DRM
Rockstar made GTA V, RSGC is from Rockstar who made GTA V
And RSGC comes with GTA-V no matter where you purchase it from.
It was always a part of GTA-V, it has changed a bit over time but it has always been there.
Steam is the 3rd party here, steam is just the reseller, as they are on a number of other titles.
As for the rest, i would contact rockstar support, as it sounds like you maybe have 2 rockstar accounts and dont realise it, and have signed into the wrong one and the CD key is bound to the other one, unless your key was somehow stolen and like resold or something, in which case you still need to contact Rockstar support.
RSC or RGS are native apps developed directly by Rockstar themselves and have been part of any R* game since GTA4, which was released in 2008.
So how could it be a 3rd party app if it's a R* app?
Apparently you don't even know what a 3rd party app is.
Haha ok Good luck !
But you can't without RGS. So do the maths 😉
And steam is nothing different than uplay, origin. GOG, EpicGamesStores or whatever shop you take.
Steam is also a game store only, nothing else
I'm with you OP on how to avoid non-working launchers when you buy a game.
