I believe ps4 controllers can work.
Hopefully someone will pass by and tell you.
That is if they can pull themselves away from the 6 woke debate.
It works fine for all other games. Even with the games on Xbox game pass that force you to use a Xbox controller like Forza I can use my PS4 controller with ds4 program and never had a problem. This is the only game that I can't play using that controller. This is the only game giving me any trouble
DS4 was the first thing I tried with no luck. And I know it's not the controller because DS4 works perfectly fine for other games.
The only catch is that it shows 360 button prompts. Other than that everything absolutely works and you can even map extra buttons like the mic mute, share, or half the touchpad to make things like autorun.
So step one is making sure you have Steam's support for Dualshock 4's configured properly.
To be honest for pc gaming the olde skool xbox 360 controller works with damn near every game that takes controller inputs and they usually have a custom 360 keybind layout. Plus it has native support by windows not needing an emulation driver.
