How do play the online mode SINGLE?

I read that now you can enjoy all the goodies of GTA V Online but like a single player. I've never played GTA Online but like to know how to fill the time towards GTAVI. Thanks

Start up story mode, then go into the online menu and start an invite only session.

heh depending on how much you know about this game
its entirely possible to play alone
but you need to know how to do the finale glitch for Cayo Perico heist
and have enough money to buy the Kosatka early on
otherwise it would take forever to save up for all the upgrades, properties and vehicles

What's above and:
- MC Business deliveries
- Taxi work
- Night Club missions and deliveries
- Bank job cargo deliveries
- Vehicle cargo deliveries
- headhunter (nerfed payout)
- Agency jobs
- Payphone hits
- Solo races

Other stuff:
- Go to movies
- Go to Strip Club, get a lap dance
- Minigames -> Tennis will require another player, sadly. Arm Wrestling will require another player.
- Arcade games, if you own an arcade.
- Dance at Night club, if you own the Night Club.

All business missions, sales too, source vehicles setup heist. I am enjoying clamly after coming back for over one year. Knowing warehouse, hangar, vehicle import/export, bunker, nightclub missions source and sales are speeding much faster without being bothered with randoms barging in your session or hackers screwing around.
Heist preparations can also be done but setups still will require help from others, some bonus missions may need help from extra hands. I've been busy over a month collecting cargo for my hangar just to know how much I can get make a full sale with that business.
Making money got much easier and the latest heist dlcs can as well be beaten alone.

I don't care too much about the money aspect as I just like to enjoy the world and doing what I like to do without Gen Z ruining my precious time.

Pretty much anything/everything.. I think the only thing you can't do is start a job and recruit other players from the local session because there are no players to invite.. so if you're trying to host a job to get it finished, you might need to use friends, skill matched players, or wait for matchmaking to find you some players on call. If you're just looking for any job to occupy the next several minutes, you can always use your phone to find quick join a job..

Most heists, missions and races require more than one player and are in separate instances aynway.
In free-roam you can do almost everything, with the exception of Business Battles and some other free-roam events, which require 3 players per session to even trigger.

Business sales mission can technically be done solo, although some of them with multiple delivery vehicles can't be fully completed on time. (e.g. Bunker delivery with 4x Dune Buggy or 3x Insurgent)

So, invite 2-3 friends and you are fully covered to do everything the game has to offer.
