bruv they said 2025. On top of that, if talking PC releases, MY estimate will be 2027-2028.
3 years is how long I've been grinding for everything you can possibly want and own in the game.. all properties, car count sitting at 3 under the maximum storage slots available because I keep a space free in my Agency, Arena War Workshop and my Autoshop so I can modify cars accordingly; not to mention a rank that leaves other players suspicious of my legitimacy..
Is this game worth it? Sure.
I doubt it'll be early 2025, probably mid or later so more like a 1 and a half to 2 years, and that's on just consoles. PC usually waits at least an additional year or 2.
What's interesting is each of these dates, with exception of 10/22/2001, are a Tuesday.. the same day we always get new DLC.. so I think it's a safer claim that GTA6 will be released on a Tuesday than it will be released on PC at all.. that just hasn't been determined or disclosed yet..
Going with the theme, I'd say GTA6 should release for console late fall 2025.. as for making it to the PC, I think the days of porting over the entire game in half a year are behind us. That was when the game was a fraction of the size (and functionality). If there was a gap over 5 years between GTA4 and GTA5, and it's been 11 years between GTA5 and when GTA6 is released for console, then that 19 months will likely easily be 24~30..
IF PC sees GTA6, it likely won't be until April/May of 2028.. (2027 if we're lucky)
The only reason you should download this game as a PC player is if you intend to do roleplay.
I've seen players start and they want the Nightclub right away, or they want the hot rides that are 2m+ and carry their prestige because of the grind taken to achieve them, or they want to buy a hangar and get the new VTOL F-160 Raiju.. so they buy shark card after shark card.. before you know it, they're buying in game cash just to get a yacht or the gold luxor jet.. smh.. sorry to go off on a tangent, but yea, R* makes money selling shark cards to instant-gratification addicted players..
I can not even begin to understand the dread of actually grinding in this game out of necessity or buying shark cards. The gameplay loop would become rapidly dull; not to mention other players are LITERALLY incentivised to grief you after spending HOURS of grinding. It's just all so ridiculous. I am grateful that I started playing in 2013 when there were modders on PS3 who gave me hundreds of millions of dollars that allowed me to transfer over to PS4, and then over to PS5. I have never spent a dime on shark cards and I was always able to get every single item in the game and after each new dlc drop over the last 10 years. GTA 5 is online is INFINITELY more fun as an interactive sandbox than a slow hog grindfest.
Your wasting your time asking. Only yourself can decide if the game is worth your time or not. It's easy for me to say 'BUY' but end of the day it's not money im spending.
