Is your PC ready for GTA 6?
It's official, the game will be releasing in 2025 for both Series X/S and PS5 which indicates it's going to be fully optimised to make use of the hardware of these consoles. No sign of PC release which will probably be in 2026.

We can safely say based on it launching for these consoles that you'll at least want a Zen 2 CPU and RTX 2060 super to handle the massively increased NPC density and of course visual fidelity uplifts. They also seem to be making use of ray tracing of some kind considering how consistent the reflections seem to be in each shot.

I'm also super impressed by the amount of NPC variety, different builds and heights even more unique models for women, that aren't just copy and pastes of male models with slight tweaks. Hair physics, booty physics and so on. Rockstar is really pushing the bar on all fronts yet again. I can certainly see that 1 to 2 billion was spent on this project.

I guess now we'll have to wait for the gameplay trailer to really get a better understanding on what else has been improved. I'm hoping the gunplay and physics for ragdolls and cars have been greatly improved too. I felt GTA 5's was a step down from 4's in many aspects.

As for being able to run the game. I know I'll be safe with my 7800x3D and RTX 4070 that's for sure.

I guess? That will be a 4 year old card when this game is finally out on PC tho..

Don't hold your breath man. I'm fully convinced the console version will not meet the visuals of the trailer. It will likely run at something like 720p-900p internally and be heavily upscaled to reach that 30 fps (most of the time).

Absolute best case scenario we're looking at another 3 full years (potentially another 2 GPU generations) before we see a PC version. Your cpu will likely still be enough but that 12GB 4070 will get wrecked at anything above 1080p med/high settings.

Really? I beat RDR2 on a 1070 , I upgraded to a 3070ti but haven't played RDR2 yet on this card. It will really struggle??
I have a 12GB 3060 and it's quite difficult to run it at stable 60 fps along with the DLSS.
Plus the dlss on rdr2 is implemented really badly, a lot of graphic glitches, glitched shadows and other ♥♥♥♥, from what i remember.
* Shocked Pikachu face *

Omg, I was hoping to not pgrade until the 5000 series came out. Now I'm worried. Ugh.

when this game was released the best gaming GPU was only able to run it at 1440p

and people keep forgetting that the PC version will be more demanding than console at least if they want to play on very high and with RT at 60fps

the console version will probably run on medium at 30fps

Any indication rockstar is doing anything but updating the graphics engine they have been using for ages?
Didn't think so, so I wouldn't worry about spec's just yet.

Strange how people are so concerned with a PC being able to keep up with a console.
When there's games (though even old at this point) like DCS world, and the king of all game universes star citizen that run on today's computer hardware.

p.s. your gonna need a seven slot RTX 8090'ti super duper with a terabyte of vram for GTA 6

We don't even know if it's going to be released for PC at all.
I can't believe anyone typed this with a straight face.

my gpu is gt 610, i think my pc is ready

Its gonna be another mascred port and anything then 8 physical cores capable of 4.0 GHz and RTX 4070 would be no go.
JARSHAR 8 DIC 2023 a las 8:10 a. m.
At least RTX 4090 to run the game at 1440p, ultra native resolution...
Helicopter200 8 DIC 2023 a las 11:40 a. m.
I will be fine RTX 4080 + i7 13700k

Yes, my PC can run anything. I'll be forced to buy a PS5 peasant device to play it on launch however. The lows we sink for love.

You know that an RTX 4090 is far more powerful than a PS5 or a Series X, right?
You know that GTX 980Ti was far more powerful than a PS3 or a Xbox360, right?

A 3060 should be fine I think. I'll eventually upgrade to a 40 or 50 series at some point. Probably long before GTA 6 releases to PC at any rate. I'm saving up monthly as I write this in fact.
XD man a 3060 it still struggles to run gta5 today and on rdr2 it's impossible to maintain 60 while using dlss lol.
You are too optimistic.
"lol" The 3060 is above the recommended requirements for RDR2 and it released 2 years later. Tell me you know ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about PC hardware without telling me LOL

OP you should future proof your GPU as you have with your CPU. The 4070 is already struggling in today's games in 2023 without using up scaling and I GURANTEE you will always want to use DLSS in 2024 and beyond. 12 GB of VRAM :steamfacepalm:

What's the terms of that personal guarantee you have made?
Mow my lawn once a week free for life, summer
Snow removal as needed free for life, winter

Just curious nvidia shill.
Because I haven't heard anything about AMD getting rid of radeon or FSR in or past 2024.
