Is your PC ready for GTA 6?
It's official, the game will be releasing in 2025 for both Series X/S and PS5 which indicates it's going to be fully optimised to make use of the hardware of these consoles. No sign of PC release which will probably be in 2026.

We can safely say based on it launching for these consoles that you'll at least want a Zen 2 CPU and RTX 2060 super to handle the massively increased NPC density and of course visual fidelity uplifts. They also seem to be making use of ray tracing of some kind considering how consistent the reflections seem to be in each shot.

I'm also super impressed by the amount of NPC variety, different builds and heights even more unique models for women, that aren't just copy and pastes of male models with slight tweaks. Hair physics, booty physics and so on. Rockstar is really pushing the bar on all fronts yet again. I can certainly see that 1 to 2 billion was spent on this project.

I guess now we'll have to wait for the gameplay trailer to really get a better understanding on what else has been improved. I'm hoping the gunplay and physics for ragdolls and cars have been greatly improved too. I felt GTA 5's was a step down from 4's in many aspects.

As for being able to run the game. I know I'll be safe with my 7800x3D and RTX 4070 that's for sure.

We don't even know if it's going to be released for PC at all. You don't know you'll be safe with your specs because your specs isn't PS5/Xbox X/S.

It's not even 2025/2026 yet, OP. Why bother making such an elaborate thread like this? :steamfacepalm:

But he's an expert regarding GTA 6's system requirements and technical specs because he has watched some trailer that shows very little about the actual game!

For how Rockstar optimizes its games on PC? not even in 10 years will there be a PC ready for this crap.

None of the PC's are ready for it, in two or so years your existing pc will be a museum relic and outdated.

And no you won't be safe it those specs you have.

Well my PC is many years old now. Im running a GTX 2070 graphics card and i7 CPU with 16GB ram. But by the time GTA 6 hits the PC, I would of moved on in PC tech.

Oh absolutely not lmao unless I upgrade in a few years I might just stick to the PS5 version honestly

A 3060 should be fine I think. I'll eventually upgrade to a 40 or 50 series at some point. Probably long before GTA 6 releases to PC at any rate. I'm saving up monthly as I write this in fact.

XD man a 3060 it still struggles to run gta5 today and on rdr2 it's impossible to maintain 60 while using dlss lol.
You are too optimistic.

Depends I suppose.

I get 60 fps on lock, but I also don't use the post processing bells and whistles, so little issue staying at a decent framerate.

I also use reshade, and can still stay at 60 fps.

in 2026 you may will be able to find a cheap used RTX 3090 or even 4080

you simply dont want to use DLSS to run at 1080p

Ima just save up. Personally, if I'm gonna upgrade, then I want to update to the current, and by the time I'm ready to buy, it'll be a 50xx series.

I'm not feeling the 3 and 4080's nor the 3 and 4090's, so I plan to go with a 5070.

edit:
For now, my 3060 is fine. I just keep the game settings in the medium and high range, np .

Nobody maybe except for Nvidia knows what the 50series will be like.
As I said in another thread the 40series gpus except for the 4090 are not much better than the 30 series with some like the 4060Ti being worse in certain games. Considering Nvidia is making way more money on GPUs for AI and don't seem to care about gamers at all, ever wondered why they haven't released a 4080Ti and the msrp of the 4080 is over 70% higher than the 3080? They just don't care anymore because they are making billions and billions on AI. It will likely stay the same in 2025 when the 50series are rumored to be released.
Only time will tell but don't expect the 5060 be either cheaper or noticeably better than the 3060.

I know they're not. They're superior specs to what's inside the PS5 and Series X. And it'll also likely have DLSS worst case scenario.

The game will be released on PS5/XSX, so expect it to be similar to RDR2...
