heh as i said in another thread I just dont get why ppl are still using intel CPUs for gaming
they draw way more power and are just not as good for gaming as AMDs X3D cpus
Intel CPUs were the best back in 2015 but things have changed....
well me too when I played games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider on my laptop with 1660Ti at like 40-50fps but as soon as I played on my desktop I never want to play newer games on my laptop ever again.
But i think R* was able to sell quite a few more copies of 5 because of its low minimums. 10 series still popular in steam hardware charts.
expect 2025 at least. to upgrade
I mean: depending on your own expectations a 4080 is going to be outdated in general in 2027.
While Rockstar's gotten better with ports since GTA IV, ultimately, PC unfortunately has always been an afterthought for Take-Two. We KNOW the money is going to be in consoles and GTAO. Take-Two isn't going to care whether your 5060 or 5070 with a stripped memory bus and lack of VRAM is going to let you play the game at decent quality or acceptable performance. And that wouldn't be because the game looks that "demanding", but simply because all those NPCs, raytracing, and higher resolution textures would run out the VRAM.
The 5000 series is rumored to not be launching until 2025, so even then you'll only be 1 generation behind, which is still pretty much top of the line.
As for ultra 4K at 60fps without DLSS? Who knows....
Number of npc/assets and complexity is CPU bond.
Resolution and textures is GPU.
