Rockstar Activation Required

So i've been playing this game for a couple months but today it asked me to enter the rockstar activation code. I already tried to input the CD key thing that steam gave me but it told me that the code was already in use. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this problem?

Ahh so I am not the only one. I have lodged a support ticket with rockstar. But they have not got back to me yet.

I tried GTA5 today and the activation didn't come up. I can play normally now.

Same problem dude but they said I played on win 7 or 8... my laptop using win11... trying to input the cd key.....then cannot play because they said cd key already used :v

It doesn't matter it is just a notification....., key is OTM meaning you don't need to enter it. Sometimes is blocking your game from validating it.

if you can't activate at all, you need to get in touch with rockstar support.
there is nothing we can do or suggest that will help this. this is in rockstar's hands.

does anyone have any update on this. I've tried re-installing it and still getting the same issue. I've also logged a ticket with Rockstar. is this just a waiting games now, LOL

Restarted pc?
Restarted steam?
Restarted router?
Launched steam with administer rights?
Launched game with administer rights?
Added game to exclusion list in anti-virus?
Checked anti-virus if game is blocked?
Deleted Rockstar folder under documents?
Reinstalled social club?(not game)
Tried another form of connection? Mobile Hotspot for example?
Tried vpn?
Tried to change DNS?
