They do both use the same game, but have very different purposes. So yes same game, but not the same privileges or content.
Now RDO vs RDR2, one could say that they are two separate games, since they are not connected. However one could also say that they are the same game, since they both use the exact same engine, map, mechanics, etc.
Really depends on the perspective of the person playing I guess, but they are indeed two different games which require two different downloads.
I'm sorry that it bothers you, but it is a fact that GTA V and GTA Online are two separate games. Rockstar themselves have always referred to them as being separate.
What's the relevance of the fact that you cannot purchase GTA Online standalone on PC as opposed to next gen consoles?
This is the PS4 version of GTA V and Online, whereas they are both a single download on PC. Next Gen isn't even relevant to this forum.
Tell me why, when confronted with the evidence I've given you (Rockstar's say on the matter and the fact that you can buy Online separately of GTA V), that you still hold to your belief that they are the same game.
Is there a meaningful difference between GTA Online on PS5 and PC? From what I understand, players on PS5 have access to a few different in-game features and activities, but otherwise GTA Online on PC plays virtually identically to GTA Online on PS5.
It seems to me like you want to argue a distinction without a difference as it relates to PC vs PS5, when the true distinction is really between GTA V and GTA Online. That distinction being that they are of two separate genres.
Then explain why they share the same forums? And download?
because sharing is caring
