Deleting DLCPACKS in files
I don't have enough space on my SSD disk and i only could play GTA on my HDD disk, which is torture. Npc's behave other way. Chunks not loading when i drive, Cutscenes freeze and stuff.

I saw Reddit post that said it is safe to delete DLCPACKS as long as you don't play online.

I have nothing to lose right now as i will get new computer next month. But still question remains if it's safe to delete it.

Idk if anyone tried it before but if you did please tell me in comments if it works!

Have done it for years - have had no issues in storymode. I've only removed the mp* ones however, and not all of them - patchday, etc. Just anything starting with mp - at last check was 44 45gb. You might lose a couple things like the newest radio stations, but that's about all I've tested/noticed.

If any new update hits before the new pc though - steam will likely want you to redownoad it all unless you can hold out by putting steam in offline mode for the time (and may have drm/authorization issues), or get an updated appmanifest_271590.acf from someone before steam update's your copy (make sure you do that now - and disable updates unless launched) - and pay attention while launching from steam. Can also just route steam 'back' to the full copy you have on your hdd before you update, update game, and then change back to the older folder and it should work fine.

you're just deleting standard game files, not making a mod.. if it doesn't work or your break something, you just reinstall the game, which will restore the files you deleted..
