There is no good modder. All modders deserve a ban and mod makers even to get sued in real life

First of all, modding itself is not allowed. Its against the ingame policy. Everybody that is doing so is doing a cyber crime. it does not matter to what degree you abuse those mods. The moment you got mods injected inside GTAO you are doing something illegal. Even if your intention would be to do something good with the mods, you are still a "bad guy" since you violate terms. Also doing something good with mods is a matter of perspective. It is always the ones that claim to use mods against griefers, while they obliterate the whole lobby in the meantime. But its okay from their modding narcissist perspective, because they "just" killed griefers. Not that I am a grifer and I want to go on a rant against modders. That is not my point here. My point is that the grifer is doing allowed acts. The act of griefing another dudes cargo is just a game design. The griefer is doing so on normal activities, while the modder is doing illegal activities. So the griefer is actually the good one and the modder the bad one. Hate or love it. The point is that there is this type of wanna be "hero" modders out there that weight the griefers worse than their actual abuse of modding. Who might be good modders, you may ask yourself? Those that drop money to others or doing a money service, while the legit player farms hours to get even close to this amount? Economically not really morallic. I could write more and more of these type of instances that get stated as good modding, but are in fact not really as "good" as being stated.

My next point goes to the guy from yesterday on threads, who is very likely a mod creators himself as he indirectly signaled.

His point was that mod creators are actually good persons. He claims mod makers are just doing side income.

Ok, but at what cost? You willing to sell mods to immature human beings that are ready to abuse mods to their own toxic use. Even if the modder himself is just being productive, its not as hes doing a good thing. The issue exactly starts at the mod maker. In fact, the mod maker is even doing a bigger damage to the game environment. If no mod maker would exist, no mod could be used. So R* if you really want to do something, don't make just ban waves, because moders will always come back. Keep erasing mod companies as you luckily already did with mod menus such as luna and so. Mod makers are the origin of the whole issue.

Actually, modding itself is a cyber delict, but can not really lead to huge consequences in real life rather than getting a ingame ban. However, doing a mod menu, abusing a mod menu for recovery services or selling mod menus is a huge crime with consequences in your real life. You can actually be sued for this. Depending on the damage you caused, you got to pay a damage compensation up to the values of even millions. So in fact, the mod maker is even worse than just the regual modder. Both however should be stopped and I write this because the modding became really worse. Every lobby has a modder that keeps messing with the whole lobby to a point where invite only sessions is the only escape. But here comes my question. Why do you play gta "online" if you are then going to a solo session? Then you could actually just play gta 5 with content mods and more additions and you would have more fun. Gta online excels with the multiplayer aspect so of course it should be played online. However, my suggestion to the modders is that they actually can mod as much they want to inside solo sessions. It would be still illegal, but at least they would not harm others with it. So modders, go to solo sessions. Or be adult and delet your modding tools and play legit!

Im a lawyer in real life and i can confirm that if you cheat in a video game you get arrested in real life.

i have done my research, and showed my work. Quora is like reddit but for hard answer fromt he community the soruce is not quora itself but the community member doing the answer. you haven't done any of that. you should take your own advice when you made the intital claim that its illegal. I have no onus... you do. your the one who needs to show where you got the idea that its illegal.

They try to talk their ways out and want to justify modding being okay. I mean we even got such trolls in this thread that even say leaking IP is normal or modding is not illegal. You can not convince these people. I actually gave it up. It looks like they dont want to understand because they are probably modding themselfs and got big issues that I am addressing the modding issue. Like whatever, if its just against eula or even against law terms. Modding is not legal and should not be done at any cost inside online, period. Its beyond dumb to assume that modding is okay or that there is some good mooders out there. I highly doubt this. I saw them all, even if they first look good at some point they will abuse their mods and mostly so insidious that you will never know that it was them. So, all modders should be banned with zero mercy and lose all their progress and should start with level 0. Mod makers should get sued with jail and even hunderts of thousands dollars of fees. I dont care if this is a hard punishment. It is definitely deserved. Some of you modders would maybe deserve even more, I saw many that take their modding powers to mock people to a bully degree thats way to far. Leaking IPs and making people scared in real life is not legal nor okay and "ID" if you think so then you are missing any empathy. Weirdly, he has empathy for modders. Whatever, this is my last take, because this is the only right way to think about modding

[-ID-] isn't wrong, it's not by any means illegal to make cheat menu's for a game, be it a online or offline game. What making cheat menu's -> for online play <- does do though, is violate the TOS.

Unfortunately, it falls to Rockstar to start combating the cheating in GTA Online and well..., you can see exactly what their actions have been up to this point. Of course, this is 99% of the reason why I only play in invite-only sessions, far away from any of that. The other 1% is the griefers.

Actually I've come across a few helpful modders. Several times I've had modders come to my aid when being griefed as I sell stuff. One randomly cleared the road of traffic, making driving so much easier while doing set ups or supply runs.

The ones that grief are abhorrent, the ones that don't are fine.

They should ban and sue as much they can. Should these rat menus get broke. All the damn mod teams such as kiddons, luna, impulse ... the list goes on. I hate every mod menu.
