A simple guide on how i mod gta on steam

Some things you'll need before you start:
1: OpenIV
2: ScripthookV and scripthookVdotnet
3: A good place to get mods (i recommend gta5mods.net)

Once you have those three items, simply start your openIV, and hook your GTA5 main directory (main area where folder is stored) to openIV, after its hooked, make sure to turn on edit mode on the top. Then go to tools --> asi manager, install all 3. (Note: I call this step the place of no return, under any circumstances DO NOT ENTER GTA ONLINE WITH ASI MANAGERS ON, you might get banned) After that, let's insert the scripthooks into the game. First download scripthookv and scripthookvdotnet. Now let's get installing.

1: Open up scripthook v
2: Once open, go into bin folder
3: Take dinput8.dll and scripthook.dll and put them into your main directory
(nativetrainer.asi is completely optional, the .dll files are required)
4: Open scripthookvdotnet
5: Take scripthookvdotnet3, 2, and scripthookvdotnet.ini and .asi and put them into your main directory

Now that we have our scripthooks in, putting in scripts like menyoo, simple trainer V and many other scripts is going to now work! Now let's add ourselves a script, we'll use menyoo, my personal favorite script / trainer mod, go ahead and download that off of gta5mods.net.

1: Open up your GTAV directory
2: Open up menyoo
3: Take menyoostuff (folder) and menyoo.asi and put them into your main directory

Now this is all I'm going into at the moment, i'd recommend watching more tutorials on YT and get more aligned with this, however there is something important to keep in mind when modding: Expect mods not to work, don't get your hopes up, and if your game starts acting up or crashing, i'd recommend taking a closer look into the situation, should it be dire enough, go to your directory, ctrl+a (will select all files) and delete all of them, then uninstall the game from steam itself, then begin a reinstall, it's fresh so you won't need to worry. Also, be stupidly careful when downloading mods, use trusted websites and be on the constant watch for sketchy sites and viruses. That's all i've got for now, see you all again soon!
