Do NOT buy the taxi from warstock. It's a total ripoff.

so, the latest update allows you to buy a taxi business. if you have plenty of disposable income to throw around, i would definitely recommend purchasing that if you're into goofing around los santos and/or roleplaying with other players. otherwise, it's a money pit and you will need to do A LOT of taxi service jobs before you ever break even with the cost of the building. this is where r* really did us dirty: the taxi that you buy from warstock is owned by pegasus. you do NOT own it nor can you upgrade or customize it. it's a complete waste of money and even with the trade-in discount, it's multitudes more expensive than the cost of simply buying downtown cab co.

the fact that the business comes with a 2-car garage heavily implied that it was for the purpose of storing custom taxi cars for your business, but that's not the case at all. the business already provides you with cars for free (also not customizable). i just spent nearly half a million bucks for a complete dud. this is such a scummy move even by r*'s standards.

Haven't messed with the taxi, and didn't even realize you could buy the cab co..
But have you tried putting the pegasus cab you bought into a garage you own?

Works with pegasus choppers (think planes as well?) you can put them into your hanger and it converts them to personal, only modification's allowed afterwards is the paint job though.
Same with the Agency owned chopper..
Wouldn't suggest doing it though, you'll find out later (as I did) not to fly them into the hanger to begin with. Saves having to remove them later on..

You can't buy Downtown Cab Co. in GTAO.

That's just a regular 2-slot garage that has always been in that same building, purchaseable through Dynasty 8.

If you own Arena , than you can unlock taxi for free ( Im not sure - level 20 or 25 ).

Yes, the taxi "update" was like an April Fools. Bog standard taxi missions (drive from A to B) for next to no pay (1-2k per trip) and a 500k taxi, which cannot be customized or upgraded. Atrocious.

lol yeah i definitely have f.u. levels of money to buy stupid things, but for people who don't it's a seriously bum deal.
