I usually sell my in-game stuff on Invite Only Sessions and it still crashes. PC runs smoth and nice temps.
Welcome to the wild west newbie,
Where a mod can crash the game even when you are in an invite only session.
Time spent on a console don't count in the wild west!
op you need to post the crash log from windows event viewer if you want info.
"I usually sell my in-game stuff on Invite Only Sessions and it still crashes"
Sound like an single player issue to you?
Me neither.
does to me.
read harder.
Did read that.
But also read this part you missed, "Ps: I always play Invite Only Sessions!"
try harder.
I tried so many fixed for this, including:
- Reinstalling/updating mainboard and gpu drivers
- Installed cpu and gpu temp monitors to keep tabs on hardware
- Turning Vsync on/off
- Switching DirectX modes
- Turning certain FX settings down to normal
- Turning off Nvidia graphic settings
- Increasing Windows virtual memory size
- Running the game as Administrator & Win 7 compatibility mode
- Verifying game files
- Reinstalling GTA V
- Reinstaling GTA V on a different drive
- Reinstalling Steam
None of this worked.
But something else did: Running the game in freaking windowed mode.
I kid you not. After weeks of randomly dropping from heists, missions and friend sessions I can now start playing without having to worry about these random CTD's anymore. I guess Alt + Enter is magic now.
Yet multiplayer was referenced by the op more, that's 2 jacks & an ace in what's trump!
Unbeatable hand in euchre! lol
Ever think online & single player are on the same engine,
with the need to be connected with either.
meaning if they can crash multiplayer, single player wouldn't be impossible..
the fact is crashing in online can easily be a modder, if its crashing in sp too thats probably not a modder, but much like you op doesn't read or probably understand why we need the crash log. i dont even need specs, though specs would be nice from the peanut gallery but without crash log this topic is dead in the water.
