game broken

my game has issues going to online half the time it wont work. but then i played w my friend and suddenly i have problems where my charecter freezes in place but everyone else is moving. and also lagging which shouldnt be a problem bcuz of my good internet and pc

First of all, are you playing in public? If so, the freezing might be a mod menu user messing with you. If it's a private session (IO, closed Friends/Crew sessions), then it might be due to your computer's specifications. Which brings us to point 2. The minimum/required specs on the game's page are quite outdated, the game grew quite a lot since its initial release. So you may think, that you're good with your computer specs, but the reality might be far from it. My game also freezes from times to times, but usually it does freeze completely, like nothing moves, the sound is stuck in a short loop, then it crashes to desktop after a while. I haven't experienced my character freezing while the rest of the stuff being completely fine. So really don't know.

The specs not being updated is false advertising if that's the case. This is how scummy Rockstar is. Everybody just ignores it and lets it all slide though. People still keep making so many excuses for Rockstar. This is why Rckstar s**** all over the customers, lies, false advertises and doesn't care about the cheating situation.

The game has become quite broken over the years. Public sessions are garbage too so you will encounter all kinds of weirdness trying to play public sessions. My guess is a modder was screwing with you. They can lock you in place, put cages over you, teleport players wherever they want, etc. etc. Also the more people that are in a public session, the chances of there being lag upon joining is massive. Because everybody is from all over the world and everybody's game needs to sync via P2P networking, everybody connecting will experience lag when joining the session.

Between the community and Rockstar, both have destroyed the online experience. Many are washing their hands and walking away because the game has become such a raging dumpster fire. The only way you'll escape the being locked in place and lag is to play invite or crew only sessions. It's only a matter of time before modders can bypass that and start ruining peoples' good time there too.

it does it in both and no my computer should be better then fine for this game

Scan your computer disks with an antivirus software. You can use Windows Defender (comes with Windows) or you can use a third-party antivirus software.

Do all those problems only occur while playing gta? how about story mode? what other programs might you be running in the background? you can also share your system spec.

By what they said in the OP, they were able to play fine before playing with their friend - exception of not being able to connect which is quite common with this game. Infinite loading screens are very much still a thing. I have my doubts it's their computer, but the game. Modders are everywhere. The lag is a mod menu ability in all the mod menus. It gets used a lot. Modders are in practically every session we join. So, the chances of being mod menu lagged is very high. All it takes is one modder to choose someone to pick on. it's been done to me many, many, many times in past.

only in gta yea and i havent tried story mode tbh and nothin else big is running in the backround
