Is there a specific spot I need to land a helicopter on the helipad?

I'm playing Story Mode and I bought the helipad, stole a chopper, landed it on one of two big H spots directly in the middle of the pad, came back and the chopper was gone. Is there a specific spot I need to land in order to store choppers?

you have to buy you heli from ingame browser, you can't simply store these vehicles on the pad without specific mods which would alter the rules

You can only store cars in garages, and even then you can lose your home garage cars by playing online.. Boats, Planes and Heli's can't be stolen and stored, they have to be purchased from the websites and then they should be available for selection/use..
