Transaction Failed because Inventory or Price Data is Invalid in Acid Lab. Fix by Rockstar is stupid.
When I go to Acid Lab and try to upgrade the bike for sell missions, It always gives me the Transaction failed because inventory or price data is invalid. I logged a bug went through multiple rounds of communication and suggesting different resolutions (removing launcher, social club, delete files, verifying game files, delete settings file etc).

Non worked, finally they said they could reset the progress of character. Only GTA$ and RP would be saved and thats it. I told them that basically you are unable to solve the issue and resetting is not a solution. Why would I want to reset my character, ain't I better off by purchasing a cheap account from someone with everything maxed out. They say it might be some corruption in online could save but they should be able to provide a better solution instead of resetting progress.

Any one else faced any such issue ?

Are you able to modify other things in the game? (I.e. cars at lsc).

monitor your connections to their servers, make sure you have no strict nat
transaction failed is normally caused through hiccups in the comunication with the rockstar servers

it is still possible, that rockstars screws up sometimes, while updating prices through their weelkly rotating price discounts.

Rockstar doesn't care, They got their money from us.
I get the same thing from them with the same problem.
They keep adding new crap and it screws up 2 other things and they NEVER fix them.

I've had this problem since the acid lab was introduced. In the beginning I tried deleting some files, then I tried reinstalling the game, then tried installing on a new computer. The problem seems to be server-side as all client-side files have been wiped many times over.

What is probably happening is your local save inventory is not in sync with you online cloud save. I had this happen for another business a couple years ago. I tried everything I could think of and all the remedies suggested online it lasted through several major and minor updates. In the end I went to the R* support page and got in the online chat (bottom page left) and waited about 35 minutes until someone jumped in. It only took them about a minute to fix it once I told what was going on. It is a common issue and they'll know just what to do.
During THEIR business hours, not 100% sure but I went with EST for NYC, I'm in the USA. If you are in the UK there might be R* support there too.

I contacted support and the only solution they offered me is reset. They say they will put back GTA $ that i have in my account but i will lose all the assets. What nonsense. Its been like this since acid lab was launched and still same issue
I have found a fix for this issue apparently its caused by some files in the cloud, You have to go to documents-->Rockstar games-->GTA 5 delete profiles and clear it from the bin then after that when you launch the game from the rockstar launcher it would ask you if you want enable cloud save click " not right now " after launching you have to do the first story mission the prologue you can re-enable cloud saves after that ,then log into your online character the problem probably would get fixed by then
Note: Doing this probably will erase your previous story mode progress so keep that in mind
