The sparrow primary purpose is making cayo perico setups from the sub a lot faster.
It also flies a lot faster than the mkii.

It can also dock safely inside the sub as you get close above it.
The sparrow can be spawned immediately near you when requested even without ceo mode.

Since you don't have a sub and don't seem to be bothered about cayo heist setups at this time, the sparrow is pointless for you to own unless you need a helicopter than spawns instantly.
And you need to cover a long distance quickly.

also the sparrow being a heli you can actually have the mkii and the sparrow out at the same time if need be, this is good to have 2 fast access flying vehicles when the cooldown respawn is hot on one, use the other.

both are good, but if you can't pilot heli decently i'd recommend just buy oppressor mk 2

Might be a question of personal preference.
I have both, but I barely use the mk2. I simply don't like it.
Sparrow is a versatile helicopter and can be used for everything.

Mk2 is a bit faster, especially when using it on ground, like a real bike.

True that ! the mkii is much easier to fly than a heli.
Also it will be harder for enemy fire to hit.

The mkii flies at 110 i think but if you hold the button that makes the mkii go idly downwards and balance it out with the lift, you can fly at 130 everywhere, this is easy for a controller player.
Little harder to achieve with kb probably.

I rarely use it unless my sparrow is on cooldown, I always use sparrow first.
If I am attacking a player out of revenge I pull the mkii but only to fly up onto a nearby building and despawn it and kill dude with explosive sniper :D
Point is the mkii can get you on a roof quick quick quick.

Mk2 is better for everything. Including cayo preps. That automatic landing into the sub with sparrow is useless. Sparrow only has faster top speed. But by the time you get into it with all the animations, by the time engine starts up, by the time you start lifting off, with mk2 you can already be half way to your destination. Plus with mk2 you can fit it into tight alleys, under the bridges, inside construction buildings etc. Thus you don't need to constantly exit it like sparrow and run around wasting even more time.

Because the mk2 is easier to fly I'm going with that.
I also ran across a video using the mk2 on an auto shop job. (?, heist, whatever they are called) Looked very easy. (It always looks easy when someone else does it haha)

If you don't have the Kosatka submarine and don't actually consider buying it, then go for the Opp Mk II, as you won't be able to buy the Sparrow without the sub anyway. You may go for the Sea Sparrow instead, but that's possibly another "unrelated" version, like any other heli in the game. The regular Sparrow is the only heli paired with the sub.
Another reason for the Opp Mk II is to own a fully customised Terrorbyte, not only to act as a garage for your flying bike, but also to do stuff for your main (and only) income in the game - the Nightclub. The Terrorbyte is a great addition, helps a lot with managing all kinds of stuff regarding your businesses.
