I can't believe someone suggest you report this to not get banned. That's utterly absurd. You will not get banned for this. You just sold some cargo. You haven't exploited anything you just played the game.
Long time ago there was a glitch where peoples MC business supplies would get stuck at full so people never had to resupply just keep selling as soon as product was full. That involved more steps to "exploit" than this and, it also happened by accident sometimes. R*couldn't prove anyone was exploiting it on purpose. Everyone did it. Nobody got banned. Eventually they patched it and everyone moved on.
Norf's pretty spot on. I work in software, I'm a data analyst and DB manager. I trace through code and find where it's not working right and giving us odd results.. I'm the one that thoroughly tests the issue, finds workarounds and other solutions.. I didn't come here to be like: "Guys, look at this cool trick you should try." because fact is I'm not sure how this happened and it cannot be reproduced TMK.. and in software, even if it's a bug, if it cannot be reproduced, it's not really a bug..
If I had found a trick and were using it to make this condition on a daily basis, yes, that would be exploiting.. seeing if someone else has encountered this is nothing more than curiosity.. thanks for everyone's concern, but I'm not concerned about rammifications from R* over a single NC sale.. they want to ban me for delivering goods my NC produced through normal game function, for the amount equivalent to a $20 sharkcard?!? If they're that low and shady, I've had my enjoyment of GTA over the years..
but, assuming it was a freak happening, the way I see it, this balances out the weeks of my technicians doing nothing after a previous delivery despite being assigned.. I had to unassign and reassign the techs to get them to start working again.. I bet they were making this secret inventory I just uncovered yesterday.. xD
I stopped about a 3~4 weeks ago when I noticed that my already full NC product that I reassigned a tech off of had dipped down and disappeared a little.. once I made the connection that I was selling my NC product to street dealers, I stopped messing with the street dealers all together.. been a good 3~4 weeks since.. but it's a possibility cause since I quit selling to them, I only had one other delivery before this glitched one..
it happened in the past multiple times and R* will punish you again.
so better stay away from these businesses if something is broken like this.
many people became billionaires through the funny garage exploit, the horse bet manipulation etc and a few weeks later enjoyed the usual account reset.
Maybe you are playing in GTA Online less than before? Because nightclub production depends on how much time you spend online in freemode session. Think about it as a set of 7 timers, but you can use only 5 of them at the same time. Actual time of these timers is well known, you can check it on GTA Wiki:
So, if you spent 20 hours in online freemode session, you can have several products at full (in cash it will be around 1m$). Only two products need almost 3 real days to fill up. If you play GTA Online 5 hours each day, you will need 4 days for the same result. If you play only 2.5 hours, you need 8 days for the same result. That's why it may be slower than you remember if you play less than before.
Also, I don't know for sure, but I think what these timers will reset to 0 every time when you change sessions (or enter/leave GTA Online), and they can freeze or reset for the duration you spent in some other modes except freemode and some old missions, and they can freeze or reset if you try to AFK watching TV, security cameras or DJ in the nightclub. Again, I'm not sure, but I spent almost 1000 hours in GTA Online and most of this time I had nightclub, so I have some feeling about how it works. So, to be sure, spend time actually playing in freemode session, never changing it. Or use a stopwatch and check if your production in nightclub is actually working when you doing some other missions or playing other game modes.
As for this "bug", do you play in public sessions with random players? I think it may be caused by some other players... you know what I mean. But don't worry, I don't think what Rockstar will care about that. But to be safe, try to avoid public sessions - play only with trusted people who won't mess with game code near you (in the same session).
