Nightclub glitch in my favor?
So for as long as I can remember, my nightclub has produced product incredibly slow. Like I'm able to do one full delivery (~1.9m) about once every month/month and a half when I could have sworn I used to do it every couple/few weeks.

So when I saw that my South American Imports, Printing & Copying and Cash Creation were all full, with all the others not even half way, I decided to repurpose one of my guys for my empty Organic Produce and then decide to keep my cash creation guy on cash creation and just deliver the cash created (which I knew would start my cash creation production all over again).

So when I went back to check my warehouse and make sure everyone had a job to do, I wasn't surprised to see an empty Cash Creation column, but I was surprised to see everything else had spiked to max over the course of the single Cash Creation delivery..

WTF? NC glitch in my favor?

Rockstar code works in mysterious ways. :dappershark:

if I were able to replicate, I would report rather than exploit.. but it feels like this was my real inventory that's been building up and I didn't see it till the Cash was unloaded (which is a bug of it's own, but R* doesn't pay me enough to do my Data Analyst job for them and report their bugs).. it's not like I'm running this delivery every 30 minutes.. I'm lucky if it's every 30 days.. just this one time, everything shot up to full after a delivery.. was actually kinda making this post JIC someone else had experienced it.. but still, R*'s problem, not ours..

Way I look at it you're just getting a little extra while far more people have encountered that bug of the technicians doing f all down the bowels of the club.

when it comes to money R* tends to get a little serious so I wouldn't try to exploit this

It's not your fault the game has glitches, if it's in your favour enjoy it while it lasts. There are so many glitches that works against you that you deserve this to balance it out imo.
I can't believe someone suggest you report this to not get banned. That's utterly absurd. You will not get banned for this. You just sold some cargo. You haven't exploited anything you just played the game.
Long time ago there was a glitch where peoples MC business supplies would get stuck at full so people never had to resupply just keep selling as soon as product was full. That involved more steps to "exploit" than this and, it also happened by accident sometimes. R*couldn't prove anyone was exploiting it on purpose. Everyone did it. Nobody got banned. Eventually they patched it and everyone moved on.

Btw did you buy the equipment upgrade for the nightclub? Maybe that's why it fills up so slow for you?

Norf's pretty spot on. I work in software, I'm a data analyst and DB manager. I trace through code and find where it's not working right and giving us odd results.. I'm the one that thoroughly tests the issue, finds workarounds and other solutions.. I didn't come here to be like: "Guys, look at this cool trick you should try." because fact is I'm not sure how this happened and it cannot be reproduced TMK.. and in software, even if it's a bug, if it cannot be reproduced, it's not really a bug..

If I had found a trick and were using it to make this condition on a daily basis, yes, that would be exploiting.. seeing if someone else has encountered this is nothing more than curiosity.. thanks for everyone's concern, but I'm not concerned about rammifications from R* over a single NC sale.. they want to ban me for delivering goods my NC produced through normal game function, for the amount equivalent to a $20 sharkcard?!? If they're that low and shady, I've had my enjoyment of GTA over the years..

Been a couple of years since I've upgraded my NC in storage, production, even garages.. I've had to have ran a few dozen deliveries over the years.. I used to do individual categories till I learned you can sell everything all at once and Tony only makes 100k max.. so I've been doing that for the last year or so now, but like I said, over the last few months, it seems like productions really took a turn for the slower.. so when I did a delivery for a single category, I think something tripped/triggered and I was FINALLY shown my actual inventory..

but, assuming it was a freak happening, the way I see it, this balances out the weeks of my technicians doing nothing after a previous delivery despite being assigned.. I had to unassign and reassign the techs to get them to start working again.. I bet they were making this secret inventory I just uncovered yesterday.. xD

I got another possible idea about why your nc is slow, maybe you sell your nc goods to the street dealers? That's only been around a few months i think. If you sell to street dealer every day it constantly drain your NC unless you have MC business active.

I first started dealing to the street dealers in the beginning.. I thought it was interesting how I kept no supplies or no product in any of my MC businesses yet I still had drugs to sell..

I stopped about a 3~4 weeks ago when I noticed that my already full NC product that I reassigned a tech off of had dipped down and disappeared a little.. once I made the connection that I was selling my NC product to street dealers, I stopped messing with the street dealers all together.. been a good 3~4 weeks since.. but it's a possibility cause since I quit selling to them, I only had one other delivery before this glitched one..

Yeah it makes sense since your cash and documents were full, the stuff you can't sell to street dealers. The street dealers have gotten me to restart my mc businesses again, I buy the supplies or refill with stash house raids and sell the product to street dealers whenever I see them. I consider it a nice little extra passive income without having to do the terrible mc sell missions. Actually I think r* made a good thing for once by introducing street dealers to the game, making mc business relevant again.

the user gets punished if he exploits it too much...
it happened in the past multiple times and R* will punish you again.

so better stay away from these businesses if something is broken like this.

many people became billionaires through the funny garage exploit, the horse bet manipulation etc and a few weeks later enjoyed the usual account reset.
darksider13 Jul 20, 2023 @ 10:17am
what do you mean you repurposed one of your guys? As in you had another business that wasn't currently accruing which you switched your staff member over to when the other item was maxed? Which items did you leave accruing apart from cash creation? Also do you own all the mc businesses?

Maybe you are playing in GTA Online less than before? Because nightclub production depends on how much time you spend online in freemode session. Think about it as a set of 7 timers, but you can use only 5 of them at the same time. Actual time of these timers is well known, you can check it on GTA Wiki:

Cargo and Shipments: 1h 10m per crate, 58h 20m until full;
Sporting Goods: 40m per crate, 66h 40m until full;
South American Imports: 2h per crate, 20h until full;
Pharmaceutical Research: 1h per crate, 20h until full;
Organic Produce: 20m per crate, 26h 40m until full;
Printing and Copying: 15m per crate, 15h until full;
Cash Creation: 30m per crate, 20h until full.

So, if you spent 20 hours in online freemode session, you can have several products at full (in cash it will be around 1m$). Only two products need almost 3 real days to fill up. If you play GTA Online 5 hours each day, you will need 4 days for the same result. If you play only 2.5 hours, you need 8 days for the same result. That's why it may be slower than you remember if you play less than before.

Also, I don't know for sure, but I think what these timers will reset to 0 every time when you change sessions (or enter/leave GTA Online), and they can freeze or reset for the duration you spent in some other modes except freemode and some old missions, and they can freeze or reset if you try to AFK watching TV, security cameras or DJ in the nightclub. Again, I'm not sure, but I spent almost 1000 hours in GTA Online and most of this time I had nightclub, so I have some feeling about how it works. So, to be sure, spend time actually playing in freemode session, never changing it. Or use a stopwatch and check if your production in nightclub is actually working when you doing some other missions or playing other game modes.

As for this "bug", do you play in public sessions with random players? I think it may be caused by some other players... you know what I mean. But don't worry, I don't think what Rockstar will care about that. But to be safe, try to avoid public sessions - play only with trusted people who won't mess with game code near you (in the same session).
