Why can't you ragdoll on command in GTA Online?

In singleplayer, you can jump and press the reload button to do a "flop" which lets you ragdoll on command.

But this was never in GTA Online and I don't understand why. Why can you not do this in GTA Online?

How it doesn't? You use sniper and press a button to ragdoll on the ground.

That is totally different from ragdolling.

I always thought it was so you couldn't do it to avoid getting shot at, like jumping and ragdolling for cover. I wish it had it though.

potentially to remove 'playing dead' as a tactic? if it's not that or something similar idfk
