Cayo Perico hard mode not working?

I started scoping mission like a minute after Pavel sent a message, he event talked how its going to be harder this time. I scoped the island in less than 10 min and hard mode is still not activated. Did I miss something??

the cooldown time if you did it solo is 3x48min or 3 ingame days
if you did with a friend its 48min or 1 ingame day

Did you finish your last cayo then go offline for a while, then pavel sent you the message shortly after joining your next session? Cause texts will be queued to repeat until action has been taken to correct that. Meaning each time you log in, Pavel will send you that message until you actually setup the next heist..

So you may have completed the heist, still allowed the hard mode window duration to be exceeded, so when you set up, it's still orange with no mention of hard mode.. When you actually have hard mode available to you, the planning board screen will illuminate in red instead of orange and will state something about hard mode before you accept the setup costs.

the OP probably didn't know that he only has 48min after the cooldown time ended to start a new cayo for it to be on hard

Then that's way past hard mode window. All timers tick even when you are offline. If you do heist solo, heist cooldown is 144 min. With extra players it's 48 min. When any of these timers ends, you have another 48 window where you need to pay for new heist (paying is enough) to set new heist to hard. Also after doing so force save the game (i.e. change outfit/some accessory).

Tldr whenever you spawn at freeroam after completing heist, set timer to 48/144 min, depending if you did it solo or not. After it runs out, go and pay. Pavel's message is irrelevant, you don't really need to get it as long as cooldown is over.

yeah i did like that, i think its bugged because heist itself was very buggy this time
