The fun thing about toys isn't to acquire them, it's to play with...
If you only want things to have them, i pity you.
or worse
doing MC business
This is literally the main premise behind the game. The missions and jobs are ways to acquire the money for various toys. If you think you have all the toys you want/need, check your property garages, hangar and facility to see if they support that claim..
Do you already have a Nightclub? If not, I might recommend getting one of those, then working towards a Terrobyte.. then you can actually install some missiles onto that mk2.. albeit they're pretty useless nowadays, but sometimes they get the job done still..
Or maybe work towards the Raiju instead. The newest jet added to the game, still costs less than a stock mk2, and it flies faster, can hover better, and has explosive machine gun + better missiles w/o the need of buying a Nightclub and Terrobyte to add missiles..
The mk2 is much easier to control than the Raiju, but I like using the Raiju way more for getting things done quickly.. gotta go across the map? Mk2 has a faster top speed when it's not in the air, so before the Mercenaries update, I'd ride the spines of the hills and occasionally deal with the random change of direction my mk2 would take thanks to a bush.. now I just hop in the Raiju, switch to plane mode and fly there at a much faster speed.
Since I purchased the Raiju, I've used it to do several duggan shipment preps and I can get all 10 targets in 8 minutes.. This bird puts the mk2 to shame. The only thing I now like about the mk2 is I can instantly summon it from my MC menu, and because it is my favorite bike, I regenerate health while I'm on it..
Edit: Since the Mk2 missile nerf, I rarely have been able to clear all 10 targets in 10 minutes..
Just saying that grind is real.. real tedious..
At least you could choose which you wanted to grind.
Back when I started Pacific Standard was pretty much the best way to make money even though the finale pay out was only 1.25 mil divided among 4 players with a setup cost of 100K
which is why I find it funny that people complain about how grindy this game is now and everything costs so much.
I find it funny for the simple fact that it's a game.. I've never played a game that unlocked everything at the beginning so you didn't have to do any objectives.. which brings me to OP's point:
I've been playing 3 years.. and like any other game I've put that much time into, one day it'll be the last day I play and all the time I put into the game prior will be deemed worthless. Except life is nothing more than a series of events collected together, so the enjoyment and entertainment I got at the time validated and justifies my time. So it really boils down to: "Do you actually enjoy this game, or are you just trying to achieve certain things?" Cause if it's the latter, maybe hanging it up before investing more time might be the better life decision.. otherwise enjoy the game and don't overthink it.. it's meant to be entertainment; a means for escape..
