Trouble logging into Gta V account
I can't open my gta v it keeps asking me to log in to an account that I don't have it has never asked me before, whenever I uninstall and reinstall it has never asked me, now I can't play because I don't have any account it asks for

something changed recently and well you should write these things down or something.
we can't help you anyway, this is a rockstar support issue.

well, I don't speak English very well but I can try, I always played gta v normal, after buying it, it never asked to relog any account it always took it from steam, and it always saved everything, it never gave any problem, but today when I finished the installation it opened the rockstar launcher and it keeps saying, "automatic login of an account k***********u was not possible, you need to enter manually", the problem is that I never had any account with this e-mail.

My pc has updated drivers and everything else, using a genuine version of windows

I've had the same thing happen you have to log in with your social club now as well so you need to remember your email and password

You contact support as stated above. One of the recent updates changed it so steam no longer automatically logs into R* social club without entering this information at least once. It has been autologging in for me for years, with no issue (and continued after the update). I launch through steam - not a problem. This includes routinely nuking the my docs / rockstar games folder - and it would still auto log in.

After all the complaints - I went to my documents, renamed rockstar games to -old, and launch through steam. It requests login info (and shows the proper first/last/etc) - I input my info - and boom, it works, moving on. Exit game, restart, and it logs in auto like it should.

With the change, many people are finding they need to re-input their info - that was either lost, forgotten, changed/'hacked', etc and steam isn't auto doing it. Hence, this issue (not to be confused with connection/log in errors that can cause a similar response, or give other error codes).

Again, best you can do is contact R* - you had the steamid, the cdkey, you can 'prove' you are at least 'in control' of that steam account, and they can help fix your info. Livechat would be the quickest way to get it resolved. More info in the link-

tl;dr/lazy - use this link below to contact R* without logging in to RECOVER your account/fix/change email to one you have access to. Be explicit in stating that. Yep, many hoops to jump to prove you are the owner, have the steam account, cdkey etc, and days to wait/repeat yourself -

There is ALSO livechat, or phonecallbacks (if you can talk to a person on the phone without having a seizure). However, both of these options require you to be 'logged in'. Some users create throw away/dummy social club accounts to reach out with this method. Some have success, some don't. Just an alternative to the pass off loops some people are having.

/goodluck - for some it is a couple hours, others days/weeks, multiple tries.

Thank you very much, I got in touch and they helped me, they revealed the email I had logged in, it was an account from about 7 years ago that didn't even exist anymore, they let me migrate the data to another account, and it worked thanks to all

Still a problem in 2024, I’m on my 7th or 8th correspondence now (not sure, I lost track )with a different representative( because each time you message ,the request will go to a different representative , meaning that if you worked there, and you wanted to be lazy, you could just easily keep passing work off to the next person with no consequence, because they are on contract)and each ask me a completely irrelevant question such as “do you have a reciept” “ when was gta v linked to your steam” “ when was it purchased” “what’s the email for your account “ “what’s the email for your steam account “ all the same f-ing questioned wrapped in different colors. Each having a day between responses. This is your only way of communicating to customer support, because there’s communication line is only for business purposes . With all the money that rockstar makes, I don’t know why they outsource to such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ company with such poor QA, because know for a fact they haven’t been audited in years the way they are handling request. They need to hire a project manager ASAP to handle logistics cause damn. I currently am offering money to the fools for them to handle my request , not much, but I know they’ll take it cause of who they outsourced to. AI could do better, I do cybersecurity/ project management, and I could run all these request by myself
