Question about 5M & SP modding...
I understand that that will prevent SP modders from joining Online gameplay, but does it protect you from R*'s BAN wave(s) if you are running mods?

Or... does it "unfairly" BAN such players?

Edit to add:

What about RP servers and the mods run there?

RP servers such as (fiveM, FivePD, etc..) is like a cracked version of your gta v exe. so whatever you mod on the actual five m game its self will not in anyway affect gta v official, now modding single player on gta will not effect online unless you try to go online, and going online with (real car scripts, gas scripts) can result in permanent ban, but if you restore gta v to base stock game before entering online you will be safe

Rockstar doesn't monitor anything kept in a FiveM folder (mods, resources, etc.)

going online with mods is what causes gtao bans.

fivem that violate the eula would cause a social club ban (meaning no sp either)

Quite informative.

So, there's never been a massive 5M or RP server "unfair BAN" where R* scanned account(s) and it mistakenly banned them for "online cheating"?

Fivem runs via separate client. And these bans won't ever happen regardless. Look for how long gtav rp has been most watched game on twitch, how many of those streamers got bans for publicly using it? None. Why streaming fivem hasn't been banned from twitch by R* to begin with? Because they don't care. They even profit from players buying game to play it.

My question then is...

If R* were to scan and BAN "could it" affect those players?

I get the point that R* would correct such a BAN due to the amount of players that enjoy that style of gameplay, but that's not the point.

Let us just say that R* gets a hair up their backside and decides scan all accounts... Would it effect any of the aforementioned players?

Scan how? The only way they could hold of who plays the game if fivem devs leaked playerbase credentials. But how such data would be actually credible?

Scan how? Scan the file structure of the game. You know, the one you should "verify the integrity of" when rolling mods back? The way they can identify "cheaters".

They detect cheaters from reports and "known cheats" detection as well as observing gameplay. If your mod doesn't come under a known cheat, you're fine.

To clarify on this, only sevrers on fivem that use things like copyright material, NFT's and the such are at risk of legal action. Otherwise, rockstar supports RP servers and more info can be found here https://support.rockstargames.com/articles/11374598771091/Roleplay-RP-Servers

all you need to know is if eula = violated = ban.

You mean that 5+ year old statement that still for whatever reason hasn't been removed even though rockstar say they are ok with RP servers? As long as everything keeps to the rues, you won't be banned.

They never have and never will say that anywhere, as opposed very officially saying that 3rd party servers can get you banned.
It's irrelevant how old that statement is.
It is the currently appliacable one, regardless if Rockstar follow through on it.

"Third party “Roleplay” servers are an extension of the rich array of community-created experiences within Grand Theft Auto that we hope will continue to thrive in a safe and friendly way for many years to come."

Seems pretty contradictory if they say they hope the servers thrive yet also say they can get you banned. I believe that old statement refers to something else, such as piracy (ability to play multiplayer on a hosted server without paying)
