Radio restoration and modding question
Hello everyone,

I have 2 questions relating to gta 5, I started playthorughs for gta 5 but never finished the game and i was thinking of trying it again after watching a someordinarygamer video, in it he mentioned how a lot of the radio tracks from the GTA games were removed because of licenses expiring and such but could be restored with mods

I did a cursory search but did not find any mods for this so my questions are

is there any mod to restore the radio stations in their original format?

will I get banned off steam for using mods? I remember there was a controversy years ago about gta 5 no allowing mods but can remember the details

I don't really give a rats ass about gta online so if they ban me out of that for using mods thats fine but if I get into trouble with steam than I'll just get a copy off the high seas and mod that instead

thank you in advance for any help

- It's doubtful any mod distributed on the internet would restore the cut songs, since that would be technically music piracy. However, you can certainly add them as custom songs for self radio (see the folder that should exist in your My Documents - Rockstar Games/GTA V/ User Music). Not the same as having them back for the associated radio station, but still you can listen to them.

- GTA V does not use Valve Anti-Cheat and won't impact anything on Steam. Your account here is safe, even if you were caught cheating/using mods. That policy also only impacts people using mods in official GTA Online. If you only mod Story mode or use a custom online like FiveM, that shouldn't in any way negatively impact your Rockstar Social Club account.

Yeah, you'd have to manually acquire all those cut and unused songs, then normalize the volume to 98.0 dB and use them in Self Radio.

I think these listings cover all the known ones:

You can probably get a older version of the game to obtain the songs back but that would fall under piracy and isn't recommended. Best option and solution is in the post above me. But do note self radio uses alot of resources for some wierd reason and can cause lags and issues if your pc isn't modern.
