GTA 5 will be the last true GTA game in the series.

I'm not sure how many of you are aware of the changes taking place at Rockstar. Sure, to many of us it's old news but it's still worth mentioning for those who may still be unaware of what's going on over there. Basically Dan Houser and a few other core high-ups and game designers at Rockstar left the company. Houser has been a creative lead in the series since GTA2. so this isn't just some irrelevant guy who works there. He is essentially the soul of GTA as we know it.

Now here's the worst thing plaguing GTA. Forbes recently reported that Rockstar has changed their office culture and will no longer be offending people with the jokes in their games. It seems like Rockstar is going to neuter themselves and cave to political correctness like every other game developer has been forced or pressured into doing lately. In a game about killing,robbing, dealing drugs, etc, Rockstar is worried about a joke being offensive lol.

The writing is on the wall. Rockstar has bowed to external pressure and have purged their ranks and are reconstructing Rockstar and GTA to align with the principles of political correctness which runs contrary to what GTA has been about since day one. The SJWs are making your games now. I always thought Rockstar had enough money to avoid ever having to cave to external pressures, but apparently the communists have found a way to get their way with them too. It's almost as if we have CEOs injecting their brand of politics into our games or something. AAA titles are too popular and culturally influential these days to avoid being politicized and turned into propaganda and GTA is no exception. Mark my words, GTA 6 will mark the end of GTA as we know it. Be prepared for cyberpunk levels of wokeness. This is how they brainwash people. They pump it into our media and kids grow up thinking it's all just normal because it's all they've ever known.

This is true. Not surprising how GTA IV is actually more detail-oriented than V now that I think about it.

GTA IV clearly targeted an older audience, everything about IV was more dark themed, and tried to be somewhat realistic (for it's time)
The Story of GTA IV was about the dark side of the american dream and all it's consequences. (The Dark Truth about the american dream)
The whole GTA IV world is filled with pretty disturbing stuff that can be found in the world.

GTA V feels more like a colorful comedy/action flick and most of the time just over the top.
