Edit: Just to clarify a bit, by default you connect to the Social Club when you launch the game, unless you've taken steps to block that behavior. In that context, yes in Story Mode you're still, in a way, online.
The obvious answer would be to wait until rockstar announces a fix or update to the current modmenu exploit issues...
Worst case scenario rockstar deems the problem too big to fix and just shuts down online completly.

I am playing every day since monday in "invite only session" and nothing happened to me.
Just block your ports and stay in Invite Only. 🤷
Not yet, possibility of RCE was, supposedly discovered by the online cheat menu makers, guess they haven't found a way to utlize it...yet.
