Rockstar Games Social Club
I recently installed GTA V, on my computer. I open GTA on steam and it tells me i gotta install the launcher. I install the launcher, I get a pop-up it says "Sorry, there isn't enough space to install the Rockstar Games Social Club on your computer. At least 1 GB is required."
I go into my files, and come to find out, C: drive doesn't have 1 GB free. So, I free up space, it now has about 4 GB free. I open it from steam again, still doesn't work. It still has the same popup with the same thing written on it. (Sorry, there isn't enough space to install the Rockstar Games Social Club on your computer. At least 1 GB is required.)
I try to install it manually, restart my computer, went on a tech support discord server and got a helper stumped. I really don't know what to do. Could anyone help me?

Social club installer used to give errors if it had problems extracting during install and lack of space. Can try cleaning up temp folder, there may be residual files left from other attempts (by hand, or your tool of choice). Some users in the past would change the %temp% variable to a different location. There also were problems if c / program files was not the default 'location' and windows was using a different drive (not tested this again recently). I would also try to get more than 4gb free... especially if THAT is fluctuating while running things...

Can also go to program files / rockstar games / social club and uninstall / delete the folder. Same for program files x86 / rockstar games / social club (and remove both from recycle bin...). In some instances lack of admin while installing, controlled folder access, and other av/security may prevent the installation of the software too - something to keep in mind.

I saw you post in the R* launcher/space thread. Not same thing but very similar concept.
(social club 'itself' has been around longer than R* launcher - some errors have changed and the fixes have remained the same).

That is where I'd start at least - since your review only brings more questions.

edit - Rockstar launcher also attempts to install social club. Steam also attempts to install R* launcher/social club on first launch. R* launcher then updates itself/social club. It should be downloading those updates to c / program files / rockstar games / launcher / redistributables / social club. Can try manually running the installer there to install social club --- preferably after you've thoroughly cleaned all social club and r* launcher off the pc. If you get an error manually installing social club setup - lets see it. Mandatory ASLR = ON in windows defender usually causes problems with this - turn it OFF, or custom configure it off for that installer.

the social club was phased into the launcher a few years ago. so it should install with it.
if you're still getting problems its probably registry errors.
