i've played my first hour today since the security issue, within 30 mins i got max RP 7999, then three CTD's because i engage modders, then finally my whole system just froze up for telling a griefing hacker i was reporting him....it's frikken pointless, the hackers own the software you bought

yeah its safe to play. at least its as safe as it was a week ago, a month before that and a decade today.

I wouldn't. My account got corrupted by a hacker. Currently working with R* to roll it back. The patch update should come within 2 weeks or so

It is a modern thing I guess. People really cannot think for themselves or think critically. And this is why good help is in short supply in tech industrues. Tech requires thinking people. People that can think and reason without someone else reciting it to them or telling them what to say. You have to figure stuff out and test whether what you read or even see is true or not. Even when you see something happen in software with the code right in front of your face and debugging it you can still go down the wrong path. One thing you absolutely cannot do in tech is assume or go off of he said she said even if he or she is an absolute expert. Never ever assume anything. You can see now that gamer sites and those who follow them as well as a lot of YouTube is filled with people who think they understand computers and programming b/c they play games. But playing games no more makes you a developer than going to McDonald's makes you a hamburger.

its fake news tez2 already confirmed nothing will happen to your account so it is indeed safe to play
