Infinite Loading Screen/ Game won't open. Verify Integrity of files doesn't fix.

I tried starting the game again, and it still won't work. I uninstalled/reinstalled it 3 times. Tried verifying vault multiple times. Ran Steam in Admin mode. Used NVIDIA settings. Started in story mode (couldn't even load story mode) to go to Online mode. The furthest I could make it is infinite loading screen. Now I click on the play button on Steam, it loads, Rockstar opens, then closes, then game closes, and the Steam game gives option to click play rather than Running.

Does anyone know how to fix this, or if the game is running into issues right now?
I had this issue in the past but the fixes for then doesn't fix it now.

Sounds like you may have been hit with the recent hack. hackers can now corrupt game fines, potentially get your account banned, even execute remote code (limited) on your personal machine.

GOogle "GTA RCE", there are multiple articles about this danger, and how you can fix it, but, I would avoid playing.

One article did say hte infinite loading is a sign of the corruption

I read somewhere that you have to delete the rockstar folder in documents/rockstargames/gta5 and delete profiles. It should reset your cache or something like that then it should temporaly fix this issue. I never tested it if it works or not.

To fix do this : - Delete "Rockstar Games" folder from Documents
- Reload the game to refresh profile data then ya game should work like normal

Rename my docs / rockstar games if you are going that route. Deleting also removes your save games (for some this is important to keep- especially if not using cloudsync -or don't turn it back on). There are also admin/perms, av/security, onedrive, controlled folder access, background programs, connectivity issues, OS issues, and even mods/leftover mods, and more - that can cause infinite loading. All things to consider/apply against details(including exactly 'where' the infinite loading is) of 'your'(anyone coming here with 'same here') explicit situation.
