Now that program is not a threat, but imagine what could happen if someone replaced it with something worse. It also wasnt the first time this happened and is a huge security risk.
Yikes... I think I'll avoid GTA for now then.
If you play on a 5M server someone from R* will come over to your house and give you a wedgie.
Now it's important to say that all you're reading is very overdramatic. What cheaters can do right now is mess up with your account stats, stalk you and crash your game.
The whole RCE thing is a possibility, even though nobody besides the developers on both cheater and R* sides, really knows what's going on right now.
Ofcourse big names rather mention the security risks to your PC as it gets them more views, but there's currently no proof of actual attacks.
Stay away from public sessions right now, not because of RCE but for your accounts legitimacy.
Thanks for the honest explanation. I'll keep an eye on socials for updates
Nobody here on STEAM yet.
Nobody on Reddit either has actually held a hand up and put forth an account for scrutiny that has had anything new or unseen before done to it.

The "Hacks" that are talked about aren't actual hacks, their just script exploits that trick the code that's already there, not hacking your way into your PC or your personal information. If you stick to reputable and populated FiveM servers that have Dev Teams that work on them, you should be fine. Also, if your gonna continue to get advice from people on here, ask them the basics of their understandings of C# or Lua... If they can't give you the basic run down of either of those things, they're not qualified to even be talking about the topic.... But I mean they wanna feel important... It's what most 15 year olds want when replying on here lol
(In all seriousness though, if you need more help or info on the topic, feel free to hit me up or verify info for yourself.)
